And again, I'm not saying that is fair, right, worthy, whatever....but keep in mind, the whiners and cryers are people like yourself, not me.

I think you are confused. I'm not bitching about contested, I'm mostly wondering why it isn't instanced. I'm also wondering why people here would think things won't continue along the path they are going.
You are saying that you haven't seen any soloers, or casual players, or non raiders in general, complaining about broken raid content; and that because raiders are complaining that their main aspect of the game is broken they are all whining? Wow.

Why are contested raid mobs not instanced...hmm, for the same reason that I can't get a solo instance of Jarsath. All loot is not meant to be had by all people at their leisure. Some things require work, and if you don't care to put in the effort, you should not be rewarded for your lethargy. This is a multiplayer game, and as such you should have to interact with other players on occasion and this includes the heated competition of killing contested.

I hate that shit!
Get my pop rotation and timing down and spend 30 seconds too long killing Mega and come out the gate to find some damn bard soloing him.

I have read many a HC raider here do nothing but whine and moan about how the raidiing scene is too easy, too small, not enough (chooseyourownadventure).

As for my 'slow' leveling....it is conceivable I won't hit level 80 for another year, but unlikely. The expansion is a whopping 10 levels, and I'm 6 levels into it. Heck, I feel I am levelling at dang near warp speed, to be honest. Considering when the next expansion is coming out next, I see no reason to do anything other than just level by pretty much complete accident. What is the rush?
Well, the race to 80 can be just that to a hardcore player. They watch to see where they rank on the way up. "Who's going to be first? Where do I rank?" To some people who like competition, it means something. That goal can be achieved once per expansion.
Other goals can only be reached once per expansion as well. Things like firsting instances or gear discoveries are one time things.

Even killing a contested the first time is a one time thing, but the added draw of competition every time it's up keeps it exciting every time.

Like you said, your guild doesn't compete for these mobs, so they mean nothing to you. That's fine enough. Those of us who need some sort of competition do need them to keep us busy and evoke emotion from the game. You obviously don't understand our POV, but that doesn't mean there isn't a place for our playstyle.

the reason why HC/raid guilds complain about raid content IS BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES EXPERIENCING IT

casuals family guild people dont complain about it because there more concerned with some bugged level 73 crumpet making recipie or some equaly bland crap :P
