it's a good move imo.

character transfers are elastic for some an inelastic for others, if someone really wants to switch servers to keep playing they're going to, so they're just letting everyone with alts spread around combine their accounts, and let some people split accounts who've wanted to but really don't want to spend the extra money. In the end this still makes them money, other than the beating on their servers they don't lose anything

what load, the servers are dead. The population of servers is maybe half what they were...lets say in DoF(not to mention during t5). Don't remember much lag back in DoF, which had a higher server pop then the servers currently do.
