They should. I've been waiting 5 days to pay for a transfer but the service has been down.

apparently they patched that server or whatever service does the transfers and bjorked the whole system up.

Im guessing SOE doesn't make back ups!

looked it up a little bit myself a couple of weeks ago.

Remember that the last free transfer was due to some PvP stuff - server consolidation, or opening of those servers and they wanted to try something out. Happened in May sometime. Not sure if its a yearly type thing or not.

Id love a free transfer for xmas tho.

--I have searched the web but have found no solid evidence, thats why i asked here. I have read several independant disussions in public channels on different servers about this happening soon. I have also have had multiple independant conversations with other players where they mentioned this possibility without me bringing it up.

Thought these factors might make the situation somewhat probable..

a) new content/xpansion, they have done mergers with free transfers in the past at this time (KoS)
b) transfer service down for many days with no evidence there was actually a problem or bug
c) holidays season - SOE has been generous during the holidays in the past
d) server population imbalances after last free transfer period
e) i want this to happen

If they do open server transfers what makes people think it will be free for all again?

Wasn't one of the biggest issues with server transfers last time they made currently heavy servers overloaded (mostly AB).

i don't see them offering a free for all transfer. I do however see them allowing AB to transfer to (not from) Lucan if anything.

Yes!

They should have free transfers with the heavy populated servers disabled as a destination.

Right now, Crushbone is unplayable at times. I know that AB is being crushed also.

Rebalanced the servers!

Plus, kick AFK players off the server after 30 minutes. That would help cut down the load on the servers.
