Quest XP rate shenanigans
Most of us are probably 80 (oh thank god) but I found this thread that shows that SOE is still stealth tweaking XP rates and no straight answer is coming, other than one that's untrue given the results people measured:
Combat AND quest xp nerfed on Test?
One guy is claiming that quest xp is unequal depending on level and that yellow quests seem to give less XP than blue ones.
Being 80 I give rats ass, but I am just wondering if SOE is STILL figuring out what to do with XP rates, what happened to IMPROVED XP in dungeons? why is it not on anymore? Are they changing quest XP behind the scenes without telling us?
Why is this XP stuff still going on almost a month after RoK release? Is there some kind of chaos among devs after Scott's departure, that they can't communicate and fix this xp mess once and for all?

Well, I guess if you really care to hit 80 as fast as possible, nows the time. Personally (other than 65-70 range) I've always solo'd better due to most lowbie groups sucking ass. Back then also, solo'ing a yellow ^ actually mattered and gave decent xp; very do-able.
Now, as far as xp/time goes, best kill-xp is solo slaughter green ^'s, which are ZERO challenge. Even better than that, are these mind-numbing multitude of quests, which are ZERO challenge.
This info is from TEST to begin with, and nowhere in those threads was it confirmed that XP amount per quest was nerfed; closest was a dev stating the obvious (higher level person gets lower amount of xp % per turn in due to needing more xp to level, blah blah).
Dungeon xp was increased for that weekend only; was stated in the notes or somewhere, forget where I read it. Was not intended to be a permanent increase (although some feel xp is not a LITTLE bit better, but not much.

dungeon xp was increased on trial basis but there was never any follow up or any communication about it.
as for dev stating the obvious, I trust players and their experiences more than any tripe devs post. the devs are usually clueless or lying, or combination thereof.

All I know is starting my Zerker in Kylong at level 68 was a huge mistake. Most of the quests are white and yellow and she is in the bellywhumper area 80% in to 72.
My swashy started the expansion at 70 and has done the same quests. My Zerker is one quest set behind my Swash and my Swash is 40% in to 76. So either you get mroe xp for blue quests, or they nerfed quest xp, or both

I'm going with the stealth nerf, Cause at 78 i'm getting about 1% for blue quests now, when i used to get 2-3% depending on quest difficulty.

Yes, it's best to grind POA or some other stupid area to get a head start to maybe 72, only then start on the quests.
Hell if I HAD to level another toon I'd not step into RoK until I hit 75. I hate leveling in this expansion so.

Yeah, I started my Wizard in Kylong at 63 and have been feeling the pain. That said, I've finished Kylong and Fens and got about five levels from each of those zones, so I hope to end up without too, too much more to grind after the quests run dry.
The fact there's no other way to get XP makes all this be a problem though.

haha wow 63. I grinded my Zerker hard to get to 68 and RoK because it seemed like a sweet spot to start at, and 68-70 took like a day but the rest, ugh.
Actually come to think about it 70-71 was also fast, so I also think the xp was nerfed.
And yes, the real problem is being out of quests at 78 or so and having to grind 2 levels on non-quest RoK XP. Thankfully my Zerk is just a twink and not my main, but still.

The quest XP has been nerfed - this is not just a level-based thing - for at least a week now. The one thing going for me (and others?) is that after a couple of weeks of building up my Vitality to around 95%, it hasn't strayed too far from that mark.

To think there was some conspiracy theory, or even that the nerf is unfair is crazy.
Quest xp was/is insanely high.
I was 74 in the first 2 days of launch playing about 11 hours. Third day i got about 80% xp and hit 75 on that repeatable quest. I had to take 2 weeks off for wedding/honeymoon/getting shit organized after she moved in the rest of her shoes. I came back to see i had been rolled back to 71 (go figure). When I got back last friday i was lvl 80 by monday with about 35 hours total playtime.
Thats completely fucked up to lvl that fast doing pretty much nothing on my own.
I could see people being angry with a nerf if it happened right after people hit 80 (2 days), but its been like 3 weeks. in that timea casual player playing 1 hour a day on weekdays and 8 hours on a weekend would already be working on an alt to get to 80.
