Sparky??!?! ahh that's so cute.

My comment was in regards to trying to solo the content that is deemed solo content. Thought that was fairly well implied in the comment. But I forget on forum boards you have to explain every little detail.

You forget that some people are discussing how they can (or used to be able to) easily solo heroics.

I really think this generation of DikuMUD MMOs (WoW/EQ2) will be the last to have a major title that includes (PvE) raid content.
Then I suggest you to leave this genre of games.

Their you have it, that is why logic dictates gear earned by grouping together in a raid and working as a team to deeat the most powerful beings on norrath and claim their treasures is better then whacking poor defensless gnoll pups on the head.

Damn that logic, its such a bitch.
Yes, and that bitch slapped you upside the head.

You're comparing drops from a level 1 to drops from an 82. That makes you retarded.

It's far easier to produce battlegrounds/Frontiers/raid vs raid/siege PvP content, and see it used by a bigger majority of the playerbase, than it is to make raid zones that under 1% of the total population uses. I'd go as far to say that PvP will be the new endgame in MMOs. Look at any MMO on the horizon and... they're all PvP.

There will still be PvE progression, but I very much doubt it will be raid-oriented.
I agree with you. being an avid DAoC player for years, I gotta say, the PvP areas test your skill and playskills alot more than PvE ever could.

PvE came down to 10 hours grinding to get to max level, and 5 hours to gear your toon, and you never touched it again, because it was boring and scripted.

After a bit more reading. Nothing realy new for me. Blizzard now effectevly kills MMO as genre turning it into MSO (Massive Singleplayer Online). After all kids and house moms lvled to top-lvl they left with nothing to do, "raiding is too time consuming whaaaaa!!!", such people should never start playing a game with high-end raiding content in a first place. (and imo should not be playing online at all, there are huge ammounts of sinlge-player games)

Yes they caught many "casuals" into this, Yes they showed the world that casuals can play MMO blah-blah-blah. But also they allmost killed the genre. Because for some stupid reason nobody wants to do anything creative anymore, they try to copy/paste from WoW and get same results, and what? they fail.
IMHO now it`s just a damn perfect time for 1 company to create 1 MMO that doesn`t follow WoW. (it can be eq1 with whole new graphics) And it will be successfull, because market is overloaded with casual crap, there will be a lot of people who will leave their current games for something more hard-core (WoW players too, especialy raiders if you give them enough content)

So what the fuck you forgot here? You got your game, go and play it if you love it so much. Don`t try to force your style on other games.

I find it funny people are saying that this current generation of games (WoW/EQ2) will be the last one with major raiding when there are two games, both being exceedingly highly rated, that are going to have just that, high end PvE raiding. AoC and WHO.

They did the market studies, they know the type of player base they are trying to gain.

And they are including raiding as a primary tool of high end PvE play and content.

So the peanut gallery with its doom and gloom outlook is grossly misinformed.
