Its not a majority of players that think it is unbalanced or making their gameplay not fun in some way.

Its these very few that are incredibly vocal at this point in time.

How about... most people complaining about the time spent on raiding have no more clue about it than they do about the basic game mechanics (no clue at all). Look above for the comment about how the raid zones are just tweaked, simplified versions of heroic content.

I swear, you're like the fat chick that went lesbian of eq2. You couldn't compete and so you just decided to complain about it and give up and go with something easier.

I guess for some people it doesn't make sense that a dragon that lives deep in a dangerous dungeon and can wipe a raid of 24 people in seconds should drop better loots than a named orc leader waiting for the solo players to gank him in his citadel and then respawn 15 minutes later.

Oh really? Other than simply not buying the game, or canceling your subscription, exactly what will some little snot-nosed fuckwad like you do to raise a shit storm? Post whiny threads on a fan board? Why the fuck would any bean counter give a tinker's damn what the 5% losers think as long as they're selling to 95%?

Ever heard of money, you fuckup?

For a fact, the number in EQ2 of people who will do PuRaids or Raid with a guild/alliance is closer to the 50% mark of all accounts with atleast one max level toon.
Where the fuck did you get this fact? Please, unless you've just pulled this number out of your fat, greasy ass, provide us with a link to a dev post to support this.

SOE might be gimpy marketers compared to Blizzard, but they know more about making money off MMOS than anybody spewing shit here on Flames, or at least have more reliable numbers to base their design on.

Maybe it's just my server, but a fucking ton of people raid. Been playing since game launch on the same server, and the people who don't cancel accounts, have multiple accounts, continuously contribute to Sony forums and resources like this one, they all raid. They might not be in VP now, shit there are lots of guilds still goofing around in EoF or barely killing Protectors Realm but they still raid. Downplaying this part of the game is fucking stupid.

Soloing is the masturbation of MMOS. Go rub one out if it makes you happy.

Just 2c's
Warhammer will have raiding.
100's of players can combine thier power and raid an opposing armie's city. While not strictly true to the format of standard raids, anything that requires more then 1 group can be defined a raid.

Unless it imposes the same demands as EQ2 raiding, it's not really even relevant.

The stupidity of all this is that WoW, the game that people hold up as the model of how mmo's are moving in a direction of noob-dom, has WAY more "demands" than EQ2 raiding. It's more time consuming to do a lot of it, and you need to do tons of preparation to do it. There's not really anything in EQ2 comparable to Naxx, in terms of not being able to enter without doing x,y,z to the same degree, with the possible exception of like... Godking. There's no raidzones here that require faction.
