Default Powerleveling?

Good day.

What is the best way to powerlevel a character from 1 to max lvl in the shortest time. I could care less about AA (ill max them later), only combat XP is what important to me.

Budget for the whole operation - 100p.

Thx.

add:
supposted class is a sorcerer , either a warlock or wizard - dosnt matter because it will be transfered from fp to q.

Maxing AA is a huge waste of time, and i will max them anyway later. There is a thousands of ways to do so.

If you dont care about AA -

Take a level 80 character and mentor them down to 10 (make sure they have the mentored strength for strongboxes etc) - and just have the genuine level 10 AF them around.

For example, a well equipped level 80 fury mentored to 26 or so can basically 2 shot blue triple ups. Just head there and start clearing.... Granted it will get harder as you level, if you don't want to do solo quest lines (which give good EXP *AND* AA) - doing this will probably be faster just from the XP of it.

Otherwise, solo grinding of mobs will be considerably slower than solo questing, especially once you get above level 40 or so - regardless of class.

In this case, do the typical dungeons (FG/RoV/RE) which still have population. I still people doing SoS/Nest too.

Waste of time? I would really hate to grind 140 AA's

I 3-boxed in Runnyeye with my 80 wizard mentoring an SK with my 80 warden healing, and I think I stayed there till 40 because I was getting almost 1% per ^^^ kill without vitality. Then I went to CT and it dropped to about .6% per kill.

If you're going to use a sorceror to burn the mobs, make sure you have good +disruption or the stupid fucking resists will have you frothing at the mouth.

AND

Make sure you're wearing the Gown of Glory and Enspelled Vultak Eye, because ward procs currently don't scale down when mentoring (if you have TNT robe, that's 900 total points of ward starting at level 1). It'll get fixed as soon as I mention it, but god knows the plat pharmers have done the same damn thing to grind up their toons.

Default Re: Powerleveling?

In my experience, swashbucklers and warriors work best to powerlevel with.

I personally mentor my 80 (then Berserker) down and I kill in the following order:

1) Qeynos or Freeport outlying areas that have heroic sections.
--a) The Caves for Qeynos, the Sprawl (I think it's called) for Freeport.
--b) Killing those over and over again should get you to level 20.
2) Stormhold for Qeynos, Fallen Gate for Freeport.
--a) I personally prefer Stormhold - not too hard to get a fp toon there, and at level 25+ you can dominate the instance inside. In that instance, if you don't close all the coffins, you will get neverending spawns of triple up arrow mobs.
--b) Kill here until level 30.
3) Ruins of Varsoon
--a) Kill here until level 40.
4) Runnyeye
-- a) Kill here until level 45 or 50, whichever you prefer.
5) Temple of Cazic-Thule
-- a) Kill in the dungeon until level 50-55
6) Fear Instance inside Temple of Cazic-Thule
-- a) At the very top of the instance, there's a set of never ending spawns of 4 triple up arrow mobs. Kill these until level 60.
7) After 60 I'd say do all the solo timelines in Lesser Faydark, Tenebrous Tangle (repeatable Tasty Basket quests), and Barren Sky.
-- a) This should take you all the way to level 64-65ish.
8) At 65, you can un-mentor and go kill all the tier 7 instances. I'd suggest doing them three or four times each before you continue.
-- a) Obelisk of Blight
-- b) Crypt of Valdoon
-- c) Halls of Fate
-- d) Blackscale Sepulcher
-- e) Unrest (with help prob)
-- f) Nizara (with help)
9) Once finished with all of those at least once, you should be about 67-68. Head to Kunark and do your thing.
