Blizzard's "nine million" are what? Game cards? Actual players? Box sales? One time subscribers? How much per sub? What does the average player in Asia pay to play? Hell what does the average player in Maplestory pay to play? There is no solid data other than the PR blizzard churns out that people just eat up.

All I'm saying is if you quantify success based on subscribers then Blizzard loses.

I think you guys are blowing this way out of proportion, Smed and Gallenite said a LONG time ago that sony looking forward with it's NEW games would be trying out different payment schemes including such things as RMT.

This is probably for one of their new games, you all need to stfu and stop crying doomsday the odds of this coming to any current SOE title are almost nil.

If a game is designed from the ground up to support RMT, then by all means go for it.

Already closed down my window that had it from Google. Just google it if you are curious. If I remember right the 03-06 global figure for MS was 260Bjiuan(sp) with 1000juian = 1$ or something like that, which is around 260M for three years. Using a 2M NA subs for WoW at $15/month and that is 360M in one year.

I've made no such leap. I've just said what I've said all along: The day they do it with EQ2 is the day I quit and never again purchase a SOE product.
