Please don't call me inconsistent. The difference is all the gear I have now I have raided countless hours for. That is my personal preference and I have the luxury of time to accommodate it. However if someone else is ok with buying their gear through plat that they bought from joe shmoe I don't care that is their preference. And if I was standing next to a monk with the exact same gear as me but he bought all his I could care less.

Ok, so you are saying, if I bought all my gear for cash, but you raided for all your gear, and we have the exact same gear, that we are both exactly equal in the game?

I really do hope they don't apply this to EQ2. I can see where they wouldn't mess with current games and just apply it to future ones. Nowhere does it say they will so I'm not going to scream bloody murder yet, but I'm going to be keeping an eye on things as well cuz if they announce it's going to happen then I'll be spending a few months farming cash like a mofo then I'll cancel and cash out so I at least get something for the time and effort I've put into the game over the years I've played.

What I do want to know is when did RMT become the holy grail of MMO design? Wasn't it like a year or two ago that Smed or someone at SOE was talking about how they thought the next leap forward in MMOs was going to be cross-platform integration, ie. console and PC gamers on the same servers playing the same game at the same time?

Not sure where you got that but no I said I don't have a problem with it. I would guarantee the person who bought theirs wouldn't scratch my skill level but if they are ok with it that is their business.
