Default Time to vote with the all mighty dollar ?

I'm sure many here have been caught up in the recent drama's SOE has giving us to talk about. Quick Recap .......
  • Test guild moved to Unrest server.
  • Devs cheating the system for favored players ( this doesn't only apply to the test server drama )
  • Selling ingame items through use of LoN
  • Mods on official forums deleting threads that are not in SOE's best intrest
  • Sony now in league with plat selling agency.
The list can really go on and on all the way back to eq1's glory days. This recent incident was just too out in the open for SOE to cover up quickly enough.

I see alot of people bitching about their threads pertaining to the unrest move being deleted and such, and in all honesty i laugh becuase alot of the people i've seen complain are the very same people who told me i was full of it when they did this too me during my solo debates and many fights with the then casters realm employees. So you all finally figured out what crap SOE pulls, congrats !

I just think maybe its time to show SOE its customers are what keep them " living well ". Most of you bitching the most will keep paying SOE so you can play thier game no matter what crap they pull. Sure you will call on the all mighty himself to smite SOE everytime they pull this garbage but you will still hang around.

I cant say much i did it for years like many of you have. I finally had it with some other things though before this test/unrest craze took over. I finally said forget em, they wanna push people around who pay them, let them suffer the consequences of thier choices.

I think a large number of people canceling thier accounts might get SOE's attention that the customers are not messing around anymore. Hell for you die hards that cant quit the game no matter what, just cancel after your account sub renews and dont renew till like a day before it reactivates. I just think maybe, just maybe if they see alot of canceled accounts all at once they might finally get the picture.

I may be wrong too, they may not care, i have personally felt eq2 is just a testing ground to experiment with the casual market and they could care less if it crashed. Some reason though, a whole team of SOE employees fearing for their jobs around christmas holidays might just wake em up.

In short you have all have seen what SOE does when we the players are not happy. They let us vent for a day or so, lock the thread, and get real trigger happy with the ban stick of anyone who might mention the " no no thread " agian. They give us all a piss poor apology after labeling us the " big meanies " since we called them out for a very bad decision they made ( which btw they seem to not have a clue who made it, the fingers in soe are pointing every which way ).

So why not send them a message back? Just this once lets remind them of who pays the bills and who lets them play in thier and our fantasy game. What would you fear more ........ swallowing pride and correcting the screwups and actually making an apology, or back to the unemployment line?

P.S. Sorry i sound so mean spirited but its been going on a long time of these antics. Thier favorite line to us, the players, when we don't like something is " vote with your wallets ". Ok lets take thier advice =)

There are so many reasons to cancel. I need to take a break anyway, so I've canceled. This latest fuck the players from the bastards at SOE was just the proverbial last straw.

Good For You !

I actually went all out this time, canceled the whole package, no more station pass. I used to just take breaks from eq2 when they pulled things like this and played eq1.

But i am done. I'll see how the dust settles after a few months. If we the customers get a spectacular heart felt appology, i'll think about givin em another chance. I dont think i have to worry about the what if though for some reason.

For some reason domestic abuse comes to mind.

It's a shame there's still no write-in space on the feedback form.

Default Warhammer shall sink SoE

I'm trying to get in on the Warhammer beta, and if the buzz is any clue as to how it's gonna roll out, I'll leave eq2 in a heartbeat to play my goblin squig herder! Race specific classes and epic sieges ftw!

i would not hold your breath on the warhammer coming out since EA took it over they have a very bad track record of releasing sussecful online games.

This isnt a bad idea. What i have done to help is cancel all of my xtra accounts for alts and all xtras services provided. I didnt want to cancel Widem b/c i didnt feel it would be fair to hurt the people I raid with, but it was about $55 in monthly fees so anything should help even if im still paying $15 a month they just lost almost 80% of the revenue they were drawing off of myself.

Every little bit helps.

I'm a small step away from canceling and never looking back, given my past experience this could mean a few more friends will follow shortly.
One extra account is gone for now.
I don't really know what is still holding me in, but it's so thin it's gonna break at any moment and this time if I leave, I'm not touching this game again, especially after the big delusion RoK was (for me, fuck solo quests).
