Question on test chars

I expect this one to get just swept under the rug or even deleted BUT this is a major concern. Since I came in to late to voice about the test to live transfers, I want to ask a few questions.
Back before Fallen Dynasty went live there was a bell on the docks at the newbie island. This bell allowed a level one player to be transported to Island of Marr. There the char was allowed to talk to a NPC at the dock and select level (15, 25, 30, 52, 62 or 70). After the dings stopped this char was leveled up (took about 5 min) and had a full set of mastercrafted armor, weapons, jewerly in 4- 24 slot bags. The char then talked to another NPC (IIRC) and was given 50 gold to buy upgrade combat arts. Now this char was also special in that since he/she never took the city bell had no faction with Freeport or Qeynos. In other words they were free to roam any city they wanted to.
Now I played a level 52 pally for awhile but decided that this was just cheating and deleted her. Did the devs delete these chars? Does anyone have one of these chars on test? Did any of these chars make it to live server?

One response was that the beta buff chars were deleted when Fallen Dynasty went live. This char was deleted by me in March. Any player out there that still has a beta buff char on test?

After having leveled a mystic on test after Fallen Dynasty expansion I can tell you straight up that all beta buffed toons were indeed deleted. However,....if you kept the bags and plat and sent them to a permenant toon on test those items were not deleted.

Whenever beta ends all beta buffed toons are deleted by SOE. That is their policy. Sorry. If you wish to play on test you will have to level a character the old fashioned way with only the fifty percent xp boost that is always on test.

He made no mention of pvptest, and plays on the normal test server so I'll take no for $500.

*btw the orange text is just his words that I've highlighted, not sure if you got KunFuzed by that

I was a dev on test and gave out plat to everyone. Quote me. But only do it saying you figured something special out when you read it. Please.

Only on pvptest? The guy has been a tester for a while on the Pve test and said there were "private" transfers, made no mention of Pvptest. Even tho I'm aware of the pvptest transfers. I'm gonna have to take his word since, I think he would know a lil sumin sumin more about it than you. pls forgive

Test servers on eq2 are retarded.

everyone should have the ability to character copy to them to test things and no one should seriously play them as a regular server.
Mater of fact, they should be wiped routinely.

Ok I was merely answering a question about the current test server that is up and running. I was not talking about PVP test. You guys are seemingly getting the two servers confused.

I do not know if anything copied to PVP test still exists. All I know is what the dev's have posted. PVP test does exist however it's not in use and is being kept as a back up fail safe for now and might opened in the future if they feel they need to test any major changes down the line such as the testing done for the changes to weapons in game.

That's all....my info was as I know it to be correct. If you guys made beta buffed toons on test back during Isle of Mara beta then please by all means try and go find those toons. There has not been another beta buffer on test since that point in time due to the problems and chaos that ensued.

As far as beta toons from beta server for ROK. no idea on that either whether anything was kept or deleted. Go ask SOE on the official forums.

Now that we established there were insta twinks here is the BIG issue with ANY char being transfered to live from test.

There was a number of players that used these twinks to powerlevel there supposed legit chars. They used these guys to farm out a number of Ledgendary, fabled and masters.

With the 1.5x exp it was only a matter of a few days to get high level legit chars. Now these chars may very well be showing up in the ladder system which they could not do on test. Is this fair gameplay to the rest of the live server players? I DON"T THINK SO!
