Do you have examples of specific errors in the Wiki article?

There are constant errors on Wiki. That would explain why a lot of times you will see at the top of the article you are looking at has "Needs the Attention of an Expert" or something along those lines.

I hope I don't have to explain what an Open Source is.

Edit: The link that is posted above....just makes me laugh.

I'm aware of all that, but that still doesn't answer my question. Do you have any specific issues with the Wiki article on SOE? That Wiki articles may be inacurate or biased does not mean this one is.

My statement that provoked your question was on Wikipedia in general.

But if you want to be specific, look at all the

That are part of the Article. Which brings you to Citation Needed and Dubious - Discuss. This is why Wikipedia is not a credible source for information.

There is a shitload of information out there archived on the net. Easy to find if you google. Had a nice long post that got ate, so all I can do is link this last one since I have closed all the other windows already.

EQ1 started life under Sony Interactive Studios, which later changed its name to 989 Studios, which then spun off Verant, which then repurchased Verant and folded them into SOE.

Sony Pictures Entertainment announced Thursday that it has acquired online games company Verant Interactive, Inc. in a bid to expand its Internet gaming business.
The move represents a coming home of sorts for Verant, which was launched in 1999 as an independent spin-off from Sony Computer Entertainment's 989 Studio. When the deal is complete, Verant -- which operates such popular online games as EverQuest, Tanarus and Sovereign -- will become part of Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), a division of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment Unit.

About Verant

When Verant spun off from 989 Studios, with the financial assistance of Sony Online Entertainment and Sony Pictures Entertainment, it obtained the rights to EverQuest and Tanarus. It also granted Sony Online Entertainment exclusive online distribution rights for whatever new titles it developed.
Yup
