The T3-T4 levels aren't that bad. At that level, you have pretty much all the old world content available, along with a couple of zones in EoF, all with pretty decent loot tables and interesting encounters.

On top of that, you've got most of your HQs available, along with the bulk of your catalog and L&L quests, which all provide a decent chunk of XP without much trouble.

Where the leveling really sucks is in the T5-T6 area, from about level 45 to level 65, since you've outgrown all the old world stuff, and are stuck primarily with DoF and some EoF zones until you can get solidly into the T7 zones, where things pick up again.

You can do 50-60 easily in a week.
Most of my toons have never made it past 35 because T4 is so wretched.

Perhaps, but for me the experience has been the opposite. During the 30s, I find I've got a lot to do - soloing, questing and instances are plentiful and the rewards are worth while. By the 50s, things start to sputter out, and I end up facing unrewarding DoF zones or some grind. If your experience is different that's fine, I won't dispute that you are having a different experience than I am.

You really don't believe the game is boring before level 45? IMO, the only thing that prevents me from having 2 accounts of 80/140 is the pre-45 stuff in the game. That's why I'd absolutely love a vet reward of 50/50 on one toon.

I've not found it boring, no. I suppose I've also spread out my alts so that by the time I was playing an alt through the lower levels, there was enough new or revamped content for things to seem like almost a new game.

+1 for that. Around 56 to 64 is the worst, where I always seem to get stuck .. atleast Kunark made it slightly better since I can do all those quests rather than have to worry about saving them to get me to 70 since I can head to Kunark around 68.

Just a note: The idea of having a /claim to reward experienced players with a beta buff would result in many inexperienced players getting it too.

I made my account on the first day of release, was in beta too. I played for a couple of months, then didn't play until about three months ago. The game has changed beyond recognition in some ways, and I had a LOT to learn about how to play classes and how things worked. I still do, I'm learning stuff every time I log in on any of my toons, including my 76 bard. That said, I have the 4 year claims available. You get the /claim rewards based on how old your account is, regardless of whether you used it during that time or not. I know I'm not alone in returning to the game after a very long period of inactivity.

Unfortunately, your idea would result in a lot of people acting exactly as though they had ebayed. It would need to be rewarded some other way to avoid that.

Not if you had to have a toon at 80/140 before you could claim it.

I'm not THAT far off being at 80/140 myself, would definitely be there if it weren't for levelling a few toons up at once. It still wouldn't mean I would be able to take over another character at a high level and play it well. Hell, I know several people who have several toons at a high level that are really clueless when they try something new and learned how to play it as they levelled, the way it should be done.

Don't get me wrong, I would love it if this were possible, and would undoubtedly use the function if it were implemented. Doesn't mean I'd be any good at playing the toon I used it on /wink I just think that it would cause as much trouble as it would save overall; there are enough people who are clueless about their class already (not saying I'm better, but at least I am learning).
