Default Re: Dodgy toons on unrest ?

Well im leveling up a troub at the mo, or is it a dirge?

Anyways, even with the mighty soloing power of my pre potm troub I didnt find too many dead spots in terms of shit to do.

1-20 no brainer

20 - 24 due to the mighty soloing power of my troub I was a bit stuck (too lazy to do much of origional t3) collections ftw

24 - 30 yay bucherblock

30 - 32 jboots

32 - 35 barristers robe, and other joke lines in zek/el

35 - 40 some el/zek/runnyeye/foombies

40.000001 feerott

40.0000015 leave feerott in disgust

40.0000015 - 45 steamfont / klak, poke head into lava/ef, for about 1 min

45 - 50 ss, bit of ef

50 - 52 best of luck

52 - 55 clefts/PoF

55 - 59 lesser fae

59 good luck

60 - 62 TT repetables

62 - 64 *

64 - 66 barren sky/loping

66 *

67 - 68 give up and roll a wizzy/decorate house (or bonemire)

68 - 70 *

70 - 80 follow the fucking soe xp roadmap

* = all of the annoying t7 instances that you were hoping to avoid, oh and pickup xp groups....

It doesnt seem to matter what you do, you HAVE to suffer group xp at some point post 55, seems to be gaps of 1 - 1.5 levels depending on how early you can quest efficiently in different zones. I dont mind the grind to 50 there is plenty to do. What Id like is a button that gives me 3 insta levels at some point from 55 - 70.

Default Re: Dodgy toons on unrest ?

quest/Collection/solo , you can do it faster

My monk i went

1-31 in 1 day
31-38 on day 2
38-48 on day 3
48-54 on day 4
54 to like 70 in the next 3 days cant remember

I know eof hit when i was 67 or something and i went to MMCC as people were grinding for Cloak of Flames pages so i lvled extreamly fast with people freely mentoring

70-80 very quickly even though i still dont have a computer that will run the game
I fry motherboards like eggs.

Copied from my baby defilers level history.. only a couple weeks old and played a few hours a day not hard to level!
Currently im running her through sinking sands and the front part of Living tombs ( harrassing plat farmers while im there also) Leveling isnt that hard.. granted I am mentoring my sk and also playing a troub and warlock in my little crew.. levels have been coming pretty easy.. doing quests ( the share quest ability is great btw!)
They all have about 50 aa's so thats kind of slow going.. but grinding a toon up = cake imo
if you are trying to just solo it... well then that does just suck if you have a class thats not good for it at all! lol

I believe my original idea in an older thread was for a 4-year veteran reward for an instant level 50 character. 4 years because if you've been playing that long you've earned your stripes one way or another, and level 50 because it was the right balance between earning the first major defining spell and not handing away the entire game.

I would start a wizard if i could instanly make them 50.

Pointless without IC/IN/BoI spells.

The idea itself is not a bad one, and so far most of the people who disagree with it are simply throwing ad hominem insults at those who do support it. Really, I don't see what's so horrible about something like this:

Prerequisite #1: Level 80 (adventuring) toon on the account
Prerequisite #2: 135+ AA's on any toon on the account
Prerequisite #3: 4+ year account age
Reward: Single-use claim item with 1 charge of a beta buff effect that levels any character to L70 adventuring and ~70 AA's. All combat related skills maxed for that level. All other skills set to a reasonable point.

I don't give a shit about any arguments regarding how "easy it is to level now zomgz". I don't CARE that I can get a character to L70 in X number of weeks if I grind out the same billion boring-ass solo quests I've done multiple times before... the point here is that I shouldn't have to grind that shit out for the 7th time.

Some of the idiots who're responding here seem to think that we're advocating an unrestricted Fluffy buffbot on every docks in the game. Come off it. It's a reward that would affect one and only one alt for someone who's already invested a lot of time in the game. At that point if you don't fully understand the basic game mechanics, then you're just as much a liability on your main as on anything else you'd be playing. You're set to level 70, which gives you plenty of time to figure out the class-specific dynamics as you solo quest to 80.

Give me some logical reasons why this is a bad idea for SoE to implement.
