Ok so i came back form being gone during most of EoF. WTF happened to this game.

All of these simplistic solo quests are god damned insulting. There is no challange and half the quests are just dilivery BS and yet give mondo gains in both AA and XP. Why the FUCK do i go all the way from 1 to 70 just to be treated like a mohter fucking refuge again when as soon as i get to Kunark? If i have made it this far thru all of your stupid heritage quests and epics i dont need your spoon feeding bull shit SoE! If that was all anybody wanted they would have quit long fucking before lvl 70!

I mean FFS just because a quest is solo doesnt mean it has to be paint sniffing easy!?!! Almost the second i walk into the Jungle i get a nice Leg item for doing almost nothing. The quest wasnt even fun. How about if your going to give Leg items you make it so that the mobs you need for it arnt packed wall wall all over the place and fucking easy to kill.

This isnt even fucking fun. Sure, I have always wanted more solo quests but the main reason I have been soling things like the giants out side of Sol Eye or Tundra jack and Iceberg is because i wanted a challange not gimme mode.

Welcome to SoE trying to be WoW. Only place I've seen way to easy stuff with big reward is WoW. You can't blame SoE though they just want the money and popularity that WoW has. I agree the game was more fun when you earned what you got. That doesn't mean the whole game has gone down hill, they have added alot of cool new content as well. You should try it out more, and not jump the gun.

Do those same quests on Nagafen. I guaranfuckingtee they will be very challenging to complete by comparison, and you will feel a sense of accomplishment rather than boredom when you turn one in. I'm doing them now, and it's probably taking 2 to 3 times as long because of fighting at the main quest and travel areas.

Why is RoK radically different from the rest of EQ2? It just doesn’t make any since. Also the quests are not even built in the same way. Most of them are buggen and they make no since.

Getting + faction for two opposing sides by killing the same mob when you have quests from both sides for that mob at the same time.

Why are factions even in the game? DoF did it WAY better than this. They don’t even make a difference here! They have no meaning!

I mean sure the mobs in Kunark hit a hellva lot harder than they do in the rest of the game but that has not actually made it harder for me. With all the AAs and stupid gear now it doesn’t matter how hard they hit.

Like posted above, EQ2 is trying to be WoW. Sadly it will never happen, yet they keep trying.

WoW has the name recognition, and they actually advertise their product, so even if EQ2 gave players a free pass to lvl 80 and a full set of fabled armor for signing up, they won't take the 'WoW crowd'. Those who like WoW aren't going to leave their already established character for a WoW clone, and those who are sick of WoW and looking for a new game aren't going to play a WoW clone either.

So basically, nobody wants a WoW clone. If they did, they would be playing WoW.

Btw I agree completely with your posts, SOE really dropped the ball with RoK from quests to factions. And speaking of factions, I agree it's stupid and pointless in this game. I didn't play EQ1 past Luclin, but the way they handled factions in Velious was awesome. 3 different main factions, and nearly impossible to be non-KoS with at least 1 of them at a time. The best part, there are definite pros and cons to choosing a faction, and even some progression to it. You go dwarf and you get some pretty nice gear from thurg (which was also the easiest faction to level up), but getting ally with dragon or giant was tougher but with better rewards.

I had to laugh at many quests in RoK where I threaten a quest giver while on a quest from an opposing faction, then the quest giver gives me a quest right after.

"Hey, if you keep messing with the city of Jinisk i'm going to kill you"
--"Ok i'm sorry it won't happen again"
"Thanks."
"Btw, do you have a quest for me?"
--"Sure! Kill 10 tigers and i'll give you this fabled piece and 15 plat"

YES that was exactly what it was hoping for with faction form this game. there are more than 5 factions for each overland zone! Whats the point? Faction is suposted to be a long term game play mechanic not a side note!

I completely agree. It's like they just put in faction as a stepping stone to buy their legendary faction items off the merchants. But by the time you do get your faction up, you realize your gear from all the quests and drops from nameds are way better than any of that stuff (at least that's my experience for caster gear so far). So what's the fucking point of faction in RoK?

Also, while the quest rewards made it nice to not have to rely on my SK alt and his trusty Defiler box for coin from their loot runs, it defeated the whole point of why I made those toons in the first place. The coin, AA, XP, and GEAR (especially the gear), are all way to easy and too good for solo content. For the most part, at the start of the expansion every newb, casual gamer, and hardcore raider were placed on the same level playing field. Those who had Legendary gear or Fabled raid gear from previous expansions are now down to everyone else's level with the Rok quested rewards...it's so freakin' back-asswards and pointless. People who put in extra effort and go to raids or group to get the named drops SHOULD be ahead of the casual gamers, and now they have torn that advantage down to make us start over in RoK.

While there are many good and fun things I have taken from this expansion, I have to agree it's WAYYYYYYY to fucking easy and there are far too many head-scratching decisions made by the devs (like that is anything new).
