Thule Society - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Thule Society, originally the Studiengruppe für germanisches Altertum 'Study Group for Germanic Antiquity', was a German occultist and Völkisch group in Munich, named after a mythical northern country from Greek legend. The Society is notable chiefly as the organization that sponsored the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, which was later transformed by Adolf Hitler into the Nazi Party. Hitler, however, was never a member of the Thule Society.

Interesting, but I would expect the name Cazic Thule was more likely constructed something like this

Cazic Thule
Most of the god names have really obvious (as opposed to obscure) inspirations. Cthulhu, I would say, is more obvious than the Thule Society.
But I am just speculating

btw when you search cthulhu on google images you come up with a lot of thule society imagery, since the 2 are linked and both based heavily in the occult. not surprising you find similarities in the name of their society and the name of the creature itself
