My paladin (who retired a long time ago), after getting my rez finally (early 40s), would sit in RoV rezzing groups who wiped. They'd be so grateful because you saved them from a PITA shard run. It was just something fun to do while you were bored.

I remember why they removed it. Some poor slob died and went afk and came back with massive EXP debt because some folks thought it would be funny to continue rezzing him right by the mob he died under. It's more funny now than then because exp debt almost doesn't exist now.
