Solo grinding in KoS at 74

So i got bored doing those stupid delivery and flower picking quests in Fens and took my lvl 74 SK alt (KoS geared, nothing special) to his old farming grounds in BS. I spent about 2 hours mass-pulling the 67-68 droag and drakes (^ and ^^ as much as possible, regular mobs if heroics weren't up). To my surprise i got about 40% exp (just with vit, no potions) and also about 6p in vendor trash. Mobs have a short leash so usually groups of 12-15 at a time.

This was on Isle of Awakening in the area past the little lake. I don't recall getting 40% exp in this time span while levelling my defiler to 80 on quests. If you have a class that can aoe or kill fast solo this maybe something you can do if you can stomach mindless grinding and need a break from the mushroom picking. To avoid boredom i recommend chatting it up in guild/chat channels or watching tv or something while grinding or it'll get dreary fast. Didn't see any plat farmers at all (besides myself).

How did you get 6P in vendor trash? sounds like a lot.

At the end I had roughly 3 32 slot boxes full of vendor loot (stacks of drake blood, enchanted water, large meaty bones, etc) + i got pretty lucky with the looted arcane treasure drops (lots of vials of wind, statues of xegony, ..) those add up fast at about 20g a piece. The common treasured drops are about 7g, small wood chest 4g i believe (recipes and stuff).

You have to be a bit lucky with the drops but i remember making 1-2p in vendor trash on average per hour in KoS.

Hehe good to know. I used to farm trash for vendor loot and whatever when i needed money pre-RoK. Its easy to get about 3-4p/hour just on random shit. Perhaps i'll level my conjy after all. Have been putting it of due to my abhorrence for fetch quests in RoK

Bought a full set of mastercrafted devout (+45 ca and spell damage on ALL pieces) T8 gear just for the hell of it and replaced the sk's KoS fabled/legendary gear. Lost some mit and hp but with 796 int and 400 str in offensive and such a boost in damage, stuff is dying so fast it's not even funny anymore.

The Aviaks drop quite alot of looted treasures that sell for 20-30g a pop. I used to go pull loads of groups and pop a DMG shield pot along with shield and shoulder's Damage shields and just sit there healing, do that for an hour and had around 2-3pp.

This the main strat of bots on vox. 2 wizards mass pulling aviaks, casting every ae they have. Some stay 70 other have gotten as high as 77.
