I don't think it's that the devs don't care, because they do post here often and keep the lines of communication open. However, it's not enough to simply be passionate about something, Vanguard has shown us this.

Alot of bad design decisions were/are made for this game, and it's getting close to the point of no return. Can they fix it? Only time will tell, I just know I won't be waiting around to find out.

P.S getting a new raid designer would go a LONG way towards that goal.

Gilgame used to hate the idea of exile faction on release of eof, he rambled on and on in long post like this about how it does not fit into the lore of eq2 or some other shit. Now he is in exile doing exactly what he cried for months about. If you are so bored do all the t8 zones in a city. Don't bring your exile gear or use players w/ vp gear/myths. I sugest as a Q, then you may find yourself a challenge till lvl 90.

Now that I've finally read most of this I'm going to draw out how I feel about SoE and how they treat their MMO.

Everything said up to date is completely valid and completely true BUT...

Have you ever seen office space? Peter Gibbons says he only does as much as he needs to to avoid getting in shit from his bosses basically. Let's put that into our situation...SoE does the bare minimum that it takes to keep its hardcore player base around.

Quite frankly they're doing a good job on you guys. They give you empty promises and high hopes concepts for each Expansion. They announce they plan certain aspects of the game to be worked on but never get around to it (IE: Guild Halls took nearly a year, skeletal models never happend). You guys need to wake up a bit, you are their cash cows...their little pig farm. You get fed whatever slop neccesary so they can cash in.

SoE only understands one thing and thats money and if theres anything you guys the hardcore player base have taught them its that despite how unsatisfied you are, despite how shitty of a job they're doing, you're still going to be their bread and butter.

I can sympathize this though, I had a hard time giving up my account because of the amount of time and work I put into it. It's a hard pill to swallow, being told your cake was a lie. But you guys gotta cut the chord on it, speak their language for once and lay your foot down. This bitching and complaining doesn't do anything. SoE doesn't pay people to lurk these forums and their Official forums for ideas...if anything bored devs on their off hours just browse around.

If you REALLY do want EQ2 to get fixed and you're tired of the bullshit, get through to SOE.

Save yourself 15 bucks next month.

ive been on exile for quite some time now, i actually was one of the first people to go exile when it came out and then i went to freeport to raid with the kraken. when they finally went exile, so did i and i havent come back to a city since.

truth is, your chances for success at raiding are significantly increased on exile, thats not saying it is impossible to raid on a faction, only more (and nessesarily so) annoying. to get the most out of the game pve wise, exile is your best bet. although id be a liar if i didnt admit that both city and faction were bullshit at differant intervals.

what you may or may not know is that since the release of RoK, EQ2 has lost almost half of their remaining devs, lyndro for instance who was responsible for the creation of quite a bit of raid content in this game has left the eq2 dev staff.

the 'new' content were recieving now is just a copy and paste of old zones with higher level mobs and new loot (ie runnyeye), i will admit that i like shard of hate, but that was released what? 3 months ago?

the outlook isnt any better than when i made this post originally, perhaps my interest in this game has decayed enough that i just dont give a fuck what they do anymore.
