I vomit words, cheapen orgasms, and everything offends me.

1. "Could you guys stop talking about real life please? Trying to enjoy my game here."

If I were sitting in the same room as this person I'd smack him with a wok.

2. I just can't take somebody seriously as a gamer who has to say "thou, thee, thine", or any other form of that context EVERY time they are addressing something. That, and it's just freakin' annoying.

3. People who are so absolutely devoted to their RP that you think they took a vow of silence. If I am asking you a question about your abilities before an upcoming named encounter, and you refuse to answer me, or reply to me as if you're freakin' Don Quixote...don't bother asking thou group leader for a re-invite when thou arse has been cast from thy group.

All in all, I always give people a chance before I ever make judgements, but too many bad experiences have forged a "no RP-tag invite" policy in my head.

Ok, sorry...back to the thread.
Whats odd, is I play on an RP server and have NEVER had this happen to me =/ And no, I'm not one of the crazy roleplayers. I've tried to RP, with strangers its awkward, with friends, I end up getting bored because I rather talk about real shit..

And yea, I group a lot, I still group outside of my guild or friends, so I meet new people.. and never ever has anyone been so rp weird they messed up the group.

99% of the rp I see is in town, and the other 1% is people joking around with their character and refering to their race's racism or something.. never seen someone refuse to talk about the real world or their spells..

/shrug

Don't know what to tell you. These were experiences I had in the early stages of EQ2 and Vanguard. I know not every RP'er is like this, because I have grouped with one or two that seemed ok, but just saying the majority of my experiences have been very awkward. Maybe I just happened to group with really young players each time, I dunno.
