I remember when we invented camp/run/camp/run/camp with immunity to make it to contested!

I have been experiencing huge amounts of lag since GU43 went live. I think it has to do with Spell Examine Information being refreshed for the G15 keyboard support. I have been researching this issue since the lag spikes first appeared on the test server.

This Post by Silverfrost explains how Spell Exmine Information causes lag in a dynamic game as stats and buffs change during game play. The addition of G15 keyboard support would have only made this worse as twice the information now has to be sent to the client. There is also the likelihood that GU39 fix has been corrupted leading to a four fold increase in the lag in the game. I have been trying to make as much noise as possible in getting this fixed. Please /bug /petition this issue and offer constructive /feedback in getting this fixed. This is not the time for flames.

I have a theory about this. Are you using a custom UI? If want to PM me your IM info that might be easier too.

To be a little more specific the G15 support did not require additional data to be sent to the client. All the data it displays is already there. The spell reuse info (which isn't related to the G15 support though can be used in conjunction with it) simply takes the icon information and makes it accessible in dynamic data for UI modders.

Well, the thing is, I'm not using any full custom UI(just a modified target window, raid window(no colors!), and the map!). And the lag being experienced while raiding is dreadful, and I do not use a G15.

Yah there goes my theory. If it was something with G15 support you would always see this lag since it is always updating. Can you tell if it's server lag or client lag? Have you looked at your network stats window while you are lagging? Is it better on some raids than others? Some are saying it's worse on the new contesteds and not that bad in say VP.

I'm using profitUI, and since today's patch ( or perhaps was it LU43), i'm lagging badly.

I noticed the same thing, but I think it might be custom UI related. I used THORUI all the way up until last night, and after the inventory bug, I decided it was time to dump the ThorUI and go forward with ProfitUI, and just for the night, I went to the raid using the default EQ2 UI.
Man i was lag free like nobodys buisness. I even turned graphic settings up for the raid, and was amazed I could raid with shit turned up so high.

Im not a computer guru by any means, just tossing in my observation from last night.
I have risen, I have renamed myself, and I am coming soon to a raiding guild near you.
