So no, not #3. Sorry!
QF the fuck E. Netburst was obviously dead in the water and conroe well under development, not to mention massive steps forward at nvidia / ati. But hey, lets have the intern write the engine and offload gpu rendering onto the cpu for the hell of it.

Sure LFG, I'll cancel mine this evening.

I cancelled mine a long time ago. Mainly because my work began blocking the players site, but also because the features are basically useless. I'm utterly amazed at how a company that "develops" video games can't find a decent web designer.

I cancelled mine a long time before due to the bugginess, and utter uselessness of the old site. Tried again with the new and improved site and found more bugs then anything usefull. Cancelled it right away.

It is to slow, does not give the things I as PVE player need, the only interesting thing it gives are stats. And the possibility to filter out those stats are so narrow....that even that feature is useless. (e.g. who the F cares how many creatures I killed, It would be interesting to see what my/other guilds killed.)

I never understood how they justified charging players for such a poorly maintained and operated service. That thing took days to update, and overall just felt like it was being operated from someone's basement. The Anonymous feature is even more retarded for the reasons mentioned by others before me. The first time I noticed that feature was after the whole Test-to-Unrest ordeal.

it's hard to understand why they continue to make people pay for something, when privacy settings are constantly getting cranked up by the users. why let people hide stuff? it's just general character information. if hiding alts is a concern, then just remove the alts feature.

and look, WoW has a better version that is completely free: The World of Warcraft Armory

you don't even need to login an account to check out their cool items and see the characters. there's even a "search for upgrade" link next to each piece of gear a player is wearing.

p.s. the WoW armory is still in beta, and it rocks the buggy eq2players site's world. the WoW community site (World of Warcraft Community Site) is so much more useful and interesting than the eq2 website. go check it out.

Sad eh?
I used to be in the top 50 on my server for deaths. One day I got naked and just started whacking on the guard at Maj'Dul gates.... you respawn right there, so you can just keep dying...

I don't get this thread - the information about players that you needed to pay for could always be blocked since I started playing (2005). And the rest (first page) was always for free.

(and I never paid for it, eq2players is just useless)

You can block the first page now, that's recent. You can't look up a single piece of information about a player after they fully block their profile, not level, guild, race, gender, character creation date, nothing.

All that reduced information and functionality is a "new feature".

That WoW one is really nice, even shows you the drop rate on each item (However accurate that is)..

PS: Vaanir in WoW is a Paladin ;<(
