I hate to say it, but ... that was my very first thought. & since they're so tight-lipped about things, that's what a lot of other people are going to think, too.

My guild has a policy: if you want to join us, we want to know whether or not you have characters in other guilds. We used EQ2 Players to determine this info. Now that so many people are anonymous, we can't do that any more, & have to rely on people to be honest with us.

It's amazing that they find a way to reduce functionality while keeping the same price & calling it a "feature".

I'll just end by saying, "SOE, for all you do, this is for you!"

a.)Not every guild is a raid guild, b.)the vent servers of raid guilds don't always have people on them. It's not uncommon for people to only hop on for raids because there's nothing else to do
