Or is it repetitive stress syndrome that will put you on disability? Maybe photosensitive epileptic seizures? Risk is a real world concept that does not apply to escapes into a virtual fiction.

Also, people are always tossing around terms like 'casual' or 'hardcore' and there is no standard definition for those terms within the context of MMOs. Are you identifying casual players based on the style of play or content played? Or is your definition based on hours played each day or week?

I advise you to never accept employment with any government entity.
Casual vs. Hardcore means style of playing.

Risk vs. Reward = the harder the encounter the greater the reward. 6 man heroic instances should never even compete with 24 man raids as far as gear is concerned.

And I'll never work for the government so no worries there.

Not quite. Not addressing you personally, since many people love to do that, but...
Whoever takes "risk vs. reward" in an MMO literally is utterly stupid.
Read "difficulty vs. reward" instead. Awsome how things make sense all of a sudden.

whats the matter with what you bolded? are you too much of a pussy to put in real risk vs rewards. or do you just want the rewards without the risk. because in this game there is no risk you don't lose anything.
I am not even going to argue with you...there is no getting through to someone who is convinced that MoA was put in the game for the hardcore raiders...

That's what most intelligent people automatically translate it as anyway. Just ignore the grammar lawyers who try to squeeze some other definition out of it to try to make their point valid. =)

The casual gamers really know how to suck the life out of this thread, don't they...

Do I raid once a month? I'd like to. But the game is now SoloQuest. I am really starting to hate Kunark because it has removed all motivation to do the FUN stuff (65-70 KoS and EoF instances and other dungeons).

That's only because the penalty for dying in EQ2 is a couple of gold pieces to repair armor. There used to be the risk of de-leveling. I'm not saying that stilted gameplay mechanic should come back. ;)

I am. I would love for that to come back. Along with anything that would make the game like it did when it first came out.

Weren't we discussing how some LEGENDARY dorf cock is able to have it's way with FABLED elitist ass? This just isn't right and, something should be done about game mechanics in this regard, amirite? j/k

Even casually uber players agree that FABLED phatz should always be preferable to LEGENDARY gear. This is a fact no matter which side you're on of the other debates that have slimed up this thread.

Let's discuss what can be reasonably done to fix this issue.

You are contradicting yourself. First, you claim that harder encounters should give better rewards, but then state that raids should arbitrarily always give better rewards than heroic instances. Which is it?
