IMO group instances loot should NEVER be better than raid loot. Lets say there is a crazy grp instance where a grp with shit gear can never complete. There's also weak ass x4 epic mob that any non-retards raid can kill and probably 8-9 men by any leetsauce guild. I would still think the epic should drop better gear since it required a full raid of people with shit gear. The fact that you can take 24 people to kill that mob should be taken into account.

TBH, I agree with your 1st comment, but your 2nd comment I dunno. I think that some gear can drop off heroics that is insanely powerful, however the difference between the rarest of rare heroic gear(see Bloodthirsty Choker and Vzeesrit's[sic] Sash of Draining) should have them some they are only slightly more powerful than the top quality instanced raid drops. That being, contested raid mobs should drop loot that is equal to or better than this heroic gear. That being, I think there needs to be a Bloodthirsty Choker item that instead of 5% deals 2.5% per CA/Spell you use that drops off Avatars.
