Not really, Oisin, they can drop the stats of the Legendary stuff so that the Fabled is really the better gear. And really, casuals won't be hurt in the heroic content with the nerf. It might actually cause them to think a bit instead of doing the usual Smash N' Grab most heroics allow, causing them to be better players and preparing them for raids if they want to go on it.

Nerfing raid encounters should never even be a thought, yet sadly, it happens all too often. I understand that not all guilds can be at top tier, but why would you want the raid encounter to be gimped in order to put it under your belt? I sure as hell wouldn't. I would want those efforts I put into the encounter to be worth every bit of frustration it took.

And if the ARE going to nerf the encounters, then the gear should reflect the nerfage. Why should top tiers, who figure out the strats and put in the time and effort, have their work trivialized? It sucks that 6 months later, pickup raids can accomplish the same thing with half the effort.

What bonus on the LEGENDARY stuff (that normally caps three levels lower than the FABLED stuff) are the raiders really digging on? If it's not +mit, +resists, +ability due to diminishing returns.

FABLED Item "X" has more applicable mit and abilities but we've decided that diminishing returns make those unattractive.

LEGENDARY Item "Y" has more... ??? ...and that's why we love it and transmute our FABLED drops.

...I'm bored with opinion based babble... let's get some details or write this thread off as a failure. I'm honestly trying to help the elitists but, it almost seems like they don't want to get this ironed out.

Your looking at effort in terms of time allocated, I'm talking about quantity of players required. Once you're requiring multiple groups to clear content, the loot should understandably be better. The semantics of high end guilds breezing through T1 content can be argued in another topic. The core of the matter is that it requires more effort than group content, so the reward is required to be greater.

Relax Jim.

This issue has been reoccurring every expansion since DoF. The Fabled loot will get upgraded as it has in previous expansions, it's just an issue of when. There is no need for a 'meeting of the minds' between casuals and elite.

When I played, EoF heroic vs Fabled, I was looking at the Wis and Int stats since I played a Warden. I had separate STR gear if I wanted to go melee, so that was never an issue. And since this was the first time that set gear was introduced, I was also looking at the benefits of both.

Since they also introduced adornments, you could very easily make your legendary gear become on par with the fabled drop. Also something that should never happen. The higher end adornments should only be compatable with fabled, second highest with legendary, and so on and so on.

Fabled should be the elite of the elite and the people that can't handle that aspect should step up their fucking game and shit or get off the pot.
