OK in all seriuosness...
Diminishing returns are still returns and an edge over folks that barely hit the curve in their UBER Legendary quested gear. Good luck hitting the no returns HARDCAP even with your uber mastered raid buffs. Yea haste is easy with the low cap of 200 but, nerfherders /cried and the weaksauce was applied.
Some interesting Level 80 HARDCAP info:
1220 abilities
12,000 mit/resists with EFFECTIVE mit being something like (mit)*(item-level)/(player-level)
Now I'll never be UBER MC'RAIDERPANTS again and probably need some enlightenment like a ton of other readers here. If those are the HARDCAPS... wth is up with everyone saying that there is ABSOLUTELY NO benefit for passing half that... is this in all actuality the HARDCAP? If so SoE needs to communicate this to everyone.
|
Because there is really no benefit from hitting hard-cap now. Difference between 7k resist and 11.5k resist is around 10%.Don`t you think it`s wrong? Differnce between 4.3k mitigation and 5.4k is whooping 5% And after some point mitigation gain is so minimal that it becomes useless. Hard-cap can be 200K+, and nothing will change

Wouldn't nerfing legendary only push the problem that raiders have with fabled vs legendary to legendary vs everything below for everyone else? I'll agree with what others have said, it's not legendary that's the problem, it's the whole system...

you people are fucking idiots.

Whoever said they would have to make encounters more difficult to raise the stats of the existing fabled gear? You made that assumption.
As far as yourself calling everyone an idiot, I believe there is more to you leaving the game then the loot or the challenge you put on yourself of being the best player. Sounds like you have some underlying bitterness here. Just my observation from your posts here. Wish you the best with that.
As far as loot; it would not be difficult for them to make fabled stats be better. This game's life is not as long as most people would like to enjoy. It's also coming more and more closely to what World of Warcraft is with just better graphics and a different story. Now in saying that, it is a HUGE generalization but in essence true. Remake of a remake of all other popular games.

And theres the problem, they can't seem to add anything to the game without throwing restrictions at players. Would be nice to have items and spells that do what the description says 100% of the time, regardless if the target is epic or otherwise.

Re: T-minus 90 days until I cancel my EQ2 account.
well atm, there's been virtually no consideration for the raiders, so i guess asking for a special payment plan is the only way out of this mess? OR, we could all agree that there is and has always been 3 tiers of content in this game, and to essentially blow off one of those doesn't make any sense.

Why should that be the case? Certain types of items only affecting certain creatures, or certain creatures having weaknesses to certain things is a staple of fantasy and mythology. I'd personally like to see more of this - give us weapons designed to take out undead or dragons or golems, for example. Give us armor that protects better against attacks from dragons and other wyrms (droags, drakota, etc.). Bring the deities into it, and have items with improved abilities against followers of certain gods. There are tons of possibilities for itemization along these lines.

Not to stir up trouble more in what I am about to say; however, it is really taken for granted the appreciation people have that this can be such a huge casually played MMO. And personally, I don't think raiders deserve special priviledges. Raiders have done nothing for the community as a whole on a persistant basis to earn such.
