The only scalable raids I'd want to see in EQ2 are to be able to scale up T5, T6 and T7 zones. Even if there is no loot it would still be fun to do them again legit. No I'm not saying get rid of all T5 T6 and T7 content what I mean is to have an option when you click the door what tier you want. Probably would waste dev time tho just think it would be cool.

I still think they should revamp some of the old world contested with new loot or maybe even revamp the old loot to a hier level. lvl 80 Shimmering Star Breastpalte any one? Royal Great Flai?l Some of those old small encounter raids were fun. CL/Ant raids could be fun again to if they did them rite and they stoped droping wood

I asked this exact question at one of the FanFaire sessions: why not just scale up the T5 raid instances to the current tier?

Gallenite said no, not feasible.

they also need to keep T5/T6/T7 zones at their current state for the players who are still joining and wanting to raid as soon they can.
Having to wait level 80 to raid would be a huge pain. (Even if levelling is very fast nowadays i admit).

Think they tried to make content longer with flagging, like it was with eq1 Luclin and PoP , but they cannot contest the time devoted by hardcore guild and their skill to face encounters.

Did you bother to think of the facts before you posted? I thought it was so blatantly obvious.

I understand your points. Understand this: Why in our right mind would we want to raid the same content (albeit, scaled to our level) for possibly 20 levels? What we go to raid should be inaccessible to anyone that is not of the max calibur in game, ie, max level.

I do not want to raid the same labs all over again just with adjusted numbers. I would not mind raiding labs with adjusted or completely different encounters.

What you are suggesting is the first step to making this game into another Guildwars: completely instanced, completely scalable.

Oh, euron, I think you misunderstood me... I'm not talking about having encounters scale to your level, merely to a difficulty lvl. I don't want you going into drayeks chamber and having it be lvl 80 because your raid is, nor do I want anyone going into VP at lvl 50 because the raid scales to their level

I'm merely talking about something like was supposed to be implemented in DoF with a zone like poets palace... 2 or 3 difficulty settings. Perhaps on hard mode the mob might be a lvl or two higher, but other than that... only the difficulty of the mob would scale, NOT the lvl range of the mob.

If you read my example carefully, I use the gardner fight in EH as an example. That mob has many many moving parts and things you must account for.

Easier difficulty, it doesn't use as many of it's tricks as it does on hard lvl. I say NOTHING about scaling for lvl, merely scaling for difficulty
