Personally I think getting 24 unique weapons into the game is quite a feat. They didnt have that issue with EverQuest (as they do with EverQuest2) and epics were a fucking status symbol back then. You had your epic, man you were top shit. (IMO these are more important than VP loot....)

So here's the deal. Granted I'm not raiding VP (yet) and it's not like I haven't seen the like...2 scout drops from there. You think I'm happy as an Assassin knowing that the only set piece I'll probably ever wear is the legs, and that there are only two other drops in there that I MIGHT be interested in? (okay three if you add a bow, and even then....)

You think I'm going to do anything about it? Fuck no....why? because I play this game for more than raiding. If all you do is raid, and that is the only reason you log in....then perhaps you need to introspect and find out why you're actually playing. It's probably because you're bored with your life and this is exciting to you, all the drama and shit from when patches don't go your way is your form of entertainment.

The plain and simple truth is that the casual community is > the raiding community....so suck it up.

Also....the fires were fucking HORRIBLE this year, and even though they weren't anywhere near SoE the entirety of California was effected......so get over it.

You know what you guys need to do? FUCKING QUIT. Quit playing, quit coming back to play (Snark) and fucking stick to your guns and demand a better raid game for your hard earned dollars. Maybe then, if all the hardcore raiders quit because this game is so terrible, they'd make some drastic changes. But you won't. You'd rather stay here (or come back) and complain and bitch and whine and then raid 4+ hours a night. Must not be that bad.

You know when I got sick of the game, loot, encounters, etc I quit and went and played something else until I realized that all MMOs are fucked in the ass and suffer from the same issues because they are persistant. I had more friends here (and more people I thought were douchnuggets) so it was more fun to play this game than any other broken game with fucked up itemization that was incomplete at launch. So I came back. At least I did so as a realist with realistic expectations - not as some fucking jackass thinking a new expansion means SOE has decided to become an entirely different dev studio.

If it sucks as bad as you guys make it seem, quit. Until then you're doing nothing but spewing hot air and forcing your money into SOE's pockets. After 3 fucking years you'd think you'd realize that no amount of bitching will get them to do shit any other way than how they want to, which is the way they've been doing it since launch.

Go figure.

I agree for the most part. And honestly think that a good majority of the people who quit, quit because they get bored of the game and use other BS excuses to make themselves sound more noble instead of saying....yea, im bored.

I know that there are a lot of issues with itemization and some of the encounters suck and are poorly designed...but with most of the complaining i hear on these boards...i wonder if im playing the same game as these people. Some of you sound like you would rather kill yourself then log on for another minute, but then spend hours upon hours playing and reading the forums.

Care to elaborate on why we suck ass? Last time I checked we can still pwn every other class if there's a player worth a fuck behind the controls, which RoK really has shown that most of the "good" Summoners really sucked anyway while the rest of the "good" ones just became even better.

God the amount of those people bitching "waaaah I can't break 2.2k like I did in EoF" while some of the other raid Conj's are nailing twice that and then some more in VP consistently just make me shake my head in amazement.

This is not the completed lu 42 patch note. Obviously since they just announced that Lu42 is being postponed until 02/05/08 instead of the initial announced date of 01/29/08 that not EVERYTHING is included thus far and they need a bit mroe time to finish something else up.

So stfu and wait until Lu42 is released. I am quit sure at least part of the epics will be in Lu42. Hopefully the Vp loot revamp as well.

In case you didn't know people who act like carpets get walked on. If a customer doesn't complain nothing will change. I don't care if everything gets added in lu 42 it should have been done at the launch of rok when I paid for it.
