Oh, I'm not missing the point. I'm just emphasizing that this argument over semantics is more along the lines of stupid than mentally retarded.

conSciously... subconSciously, btw

When he says "have worked quite diligently to make these quests as exciting and challenging as possible, and the rewards to match."

As challenging as possible for the kids/retards that play the game casually? or as challenging as possible for the hardcore raiders with college degrees that can handle real problems/puzzles.

The kids/retards can't handle anything greater than "gather 25 runes, click 50 statues, kill 10 badgers" Which is what previous end game weapons have been rewards for completing.

Building a game around the lowest common denominator does not lend hope to the possibility of actually having exciting and challenging epic quests.

(was that on topic enough for you?)

Indeed it was, I like how you included retard in there as well

In all seriousness though, I agree with you. When you can trio the last boss of the hardest heroic instance in the game (with all quested/faction gear), something is wrong there. But I wouldn't ever expect SOE to scale up the challenge of anything but raids, and even then thats iffy. Maybe they should bring back the system in poets palace/Harclave where you can select difficulty (except have the difficulty mean something)... and make the hard zone's gear better, or have a higher drop chance for masters, something along those lines. I suppose better gear wouldn't really fit though, given how itemization is already borked.

Just a thought
/shrug

I bet the % of raiding retards and casual retards are exactly the same.

Aye I loved the difficulty thing. That and the LV thingy like they did in Splitpaw. It would be fun to go back to KoS/EoF and do those raids, but have them scale to level (70+). I mean to say that there are still a few items in there that are very nice, but it seems like cheating to take a full raid of 80s in there. A year or more ago those raid zones were challenging and fun... Segmented Rumbler anyone? But now it is like having sex with a chick that is drunk and passed out.

EDIT: Sorry that was a bit off topic. Didn't mean to toss a derail attempt.

More test notes, this was the original topic right?
And they're making Druushk harder... that's so unlike them... or well that's how they used to do it in EQ1.

GAMEPLAY
  • Guild members without permission to purchase guild status items will no longer be able to do so.
  • The Vision Totem of the Cat illusion now suspends during combat.
  • The Valley of the Ancients in the Thundering Steppes is now more appropriate for solo players.
  • The Firerock Ancient event in the Valley of the Ancients has been re-tuned and will now work properly.
ITEMS
  • Most power healing procs should no longer break stealth.
  • The Lesser Dispersion effect has been renamed to Templar???s Dispersion.
  • The proc on Bristlebane???s Cane of Trickery should now trigger correctly.
  • The lust, devotion, passion and love candles can now have their hearts lit or extinguished.
ZONES
Veshan's Peak
  • The Dragon Druushk has learned a few new tricks and has a few new nasty surprises to help rid himself of annoying adventurers.
ACHIEVEMENTS
  • If you level off a quest and the quest would turn gray it will still give the appropriate achievement experience.
SPELLS
Brawler
  • Devastation Fist should now work properly on named creatures although it will no longer critical.
Swashbuckler
  • Sleight of Hand should be more reliable now when dropping hate from the swashbuckler
QUESTS
  • Quiyn now has a quest reward option for brawlers at the end of "Anaphylaxis". Brawlers that have done the quest previously can speak to Quiyn about a one time offer of buying the Venomous Chitin Bo for 30 gold.
USER INTERFACE
  • Clicking the Reset Opacity button under options should return all windows to the global opacity settings specified in options.
  • The first line of custom keymaps files will no longer be ignored.
