They should just ninja move the rest of test to unrest and then open up free copies to test. I bet you then we can actually test some shit.

pull the fucking plug
move then 100 or so accounts to unrest or where ever they fucking want
and open up a copy test server finally.
wipe test after every live update.
and give the dev the tools to open a seperate instance where he can summon an entire guild to test changes or new updates.

If they proposed a deal for open Test server copies, in exchange for existing Test server accounts to be moved to the live server of their choice, would you accept it?

Good thing your definition of formal means absolutely shit in the context of just closing test down and shipping everyone off. The fact is it can and has been done, and approved by management.

If people could transfer from Test to some other server after a fixed amount of time (and with no ill-gotten gains), would enough people play on Test to make it useful again?
