There's a reason why nobody voted for Inquisitors, because there is no "essential" healer. You should have all of them, not just 1 of the 6. But hey, I guess people are too dumb to see that and rely on stupid polls like this.

Pinkski, you think aninquisitor and a warden are as important as templar and defiler?

this read to me as: what is the most essential class on the a raid. ie. if you take them out you suffer the most.

I'd argue that losing a templar and plugging an in inq hurts more than losing an inq and plugging in a templar.

given a perfect setup, you should have both though, for sure.

What a ridiculous question.

I'm not even going to dignify it with a answer

if that's the reason why nobody voted for inquisitors, then why did 26 vote for templars and 28 for defilers so far? fact is that, yes, in the perfect set up you should have 1 of each healer, but that you can't always have that. so i'll rephrase the question a bit for you. keeping with the criteria in the first post (MT/MA taken etc...), what class in your raid would you most want to hang on to? which one would you hate to lose the most?

LOL
...you need a cleric, drood, shamy in the MT team for the rough stuff... then 3 DPS spec'ed furys to keep the damage teams alive tops... maybe a warden in place of a fury occasionally, depending on encounter.

With RoK's lamesauce you don't really even need to roll a true OT team so with your one of each theory, I think you have a few healers benched most of the time if you're tuning your DPS. Subclass Wards/HoTs/Reactives don't stack unfortunately.

Disagree, having a Templar on a raid and not having one will make a very noticeable difference, they're far and above the best healer in game atm

on a different note, most useless:
zerker
bruiser
swash

Except that what's essential isn't always a) what's in high demand or b) something at which you'll be skilled enough to merit a spot over the hordes of other clever nooblets who relied on a misguided poll to pick their sure-to-get-a-spot class.

OTOH, outside of a few classes that are rarely wanted, if you get good at what you enjoy playing you'll probably be able to get a spot in a decent guild without too much trouble (especially if you're willing to transfer). And even those less favored classes can find spots if they're just that good.

Don't start thinking the competitive guilds will look at class and disregard skill because of what is supposed to be essential. If you're dead weight, no matter your class, you'll be tossed out on your ass before long (assuming you get that far). And if you don't want to be near or at the top, then join a casual guild and play whatever the fuck you want since they won't care what it takes to muddle through stuff.

Lastly, take it as a sign of the real "pertinence" of this poll that nearly all the known and knowledgeable hardcore raiders making an appearance are either joking around or scoffing.

That's not true, I was able to keep a spot in raiding guild just because my toon was a leet ass defiler. Never mind the fact that I couldn't give a rat ass about the guild at the time and have personally cause more wipes than any raid mob. But they sure love that 90% raid attendance.

The fact of the matter is, if you're a leetass player, PICK THE MOST POWERFUL CLASS TO PLAY.

agreed this poll is retarted if it came down to one class then raiding would be boring for the other 23 classes who dont matter? ..

but, i must say raiding with out a brig's spike debuff is harsh.. but can be done since there is no essential class.. only essential players in a raid.
