Re: what class do you think is most essential in a raid
Assassins ofc. Everyone needs an assassin. Crucial to every ingame situation, be it raid, group, random killing, whatever.
PS: There is a reason why there are 24 spots in a raid and not only MT, MT healer and a buffer and one DD. There is not one class that is superior (except assassins ofc, maybe with fixed melee hit rates *jumps on bandwagon*)..

I voted guardian before reading the post... gg! Either way, stupid post, granted I gave an even stupider answer!

Sorry, no on the swash. It's not essential by any means...but to say its one of the top 3 most useless is laughable.

Nah swashies are looking pretty useless in ROK raids tbh.
Our lvl 80 spell STILL doesn't work properly at all, guilds either switch us out of mt group for 3rd healer or sin xfer ( because rok is basically single targets galore )
Our debuffs, due to the way they work, don't really match up to a brigs debuffs, and can't even compare to what dispatch does.
Sure we still pump out awesome dps, but sins ( good ones ) will do more. It just puts us in a weird position.
I dunno if you'd even notice not having a swash in a raid, but /shrug.
I wish soe wud just give us a new lvl 80 ability tbh.
Edit : I'm not saying swash debuffs should match up to a brigs ( because imo swashies give up debuffs for more dps and brigs give up dps for more debuffs etc. ) so brigs don't take it the wrong way.

If you didn't vote for mystic or templar, you're retarded.

Meh. Don't need a templar for most of VP. In fact, I would say 4-healers can clear all of VP up to Silverwing, even with none of them being a Templar, or having a Cleric in your MT group.

Re: what class do you think is most essential in a raid
I voted brigand because no other class can even begin to fill the gap left by missing the raidwide dps inscrease of a brigand.
Sure a defiler is good, but I'm pretty sure you can use another healer and while it won't be optimal, you won't lose THAT much.
A dirge is very important and would probably be my 2nd vote.
I also wonder if the 40+ people who voted for guardian given that the MT and MA spots are already filled are retarted or need reading comprehension lessons.

I voted for Warlock because I refuse to raid if a Warlock isn't welcome in the raid I am trying to be a part of; myself being that Warlock. Therefore I think Warlocks are most essential to any raid I take part in. Hence my not voting for Mystics or Templars.
