The problem was even Cheldrak was a joke...everyone killed him the day they zoned in after they nerfed him.

Wanted to comment on these two points.

TnT is easily completable following what you would believe to be the script as intended (killing the statues while fighting queen and killing adds as they come during the mayong encounter).

AoM was not some hard encounter, it required an AA. The "god pet" bug that people are talking about where purple vision goes to a pet is simply not the case. Never once did we stop using god pets, the problem with purple vision is the same cause as the dog disappearing on War, and it has nothing to do with pets.

SD killed the same Mischief NPU and Paradigm did, and the only reason SD didn't do it first is because we had a defiler who wouldn't spec Hexation because he thought it didn't matter. We had consistently got him down farther than anyone else time and time again, and then literally first pulled it after he respec'd to hexation. I wish I had recorded Vent on the pull we killed it, because everyone just sitting there in amazement at how retardedly easy the encounter was. We lost the ww1 on it simply because we handed it away.

Edit: The Russian guild on Barren Sky would be extremely competitive if they got content at the same time as U.S. servers.

Are you refering to now at lvl 80 or in EoF at lvl 70 b/c i never heard of anyone busting their ass going through ttr trying to kill mayong with all the adds.

Contested Mayong is Fixed and is killed in less than 5 pulls by numerous guilds over the next 3 days.

VP is realeased with content that is easier and far more boring than a bunch of t1-3 zones, and are compltely exploitable. The only good encounter Silverwing seems such a small success in comparison to the overall VP. Phara Dar is broken fixed where then everyone starts killing it.

And once again people got stuck with Raid content available that is broken...


Competition is dead there is no constant whatsoever left.
Oh please, if you look at encounters that way there never was a race, ever. Shit has been broken/changing since T5. Wrath of Fury anyone? DMP totally broken until the very end of KoS. Matron deemed impossible and not killed until numerous changes. Using Death Coordination on Chel'Drak? Spirits of the Lost having a TOTALLY broken end encounter which fucked guilds who went in early resulting in them being locked out when it was fixed. Etc, etc.

You just like to think that there was "noteworthy" competition around the Matron era because that is when Dissolution was really competitive.

That doesn't just magically change that encounters in this game have been fucked since launch. Numerous changes have went in, numerous exploits have been used for WW1sts.

We might as well discount all of DoF since you're trying to discount all of EoF and RoK. Tynirical Mind anyone? Malice WW1sted basically that entire expansion using that bug, except DMP which couldn't be killed that way.

You either compete in the fucked up environment or you don't, you don't say its only competition when you're being competitive, because that is fucking lame.

All I know is we went from wiping when no one was purple and we got overwhelmed with adds we couldn't see to kill to saying NO FUCKING PETS and killing it literally the next pull w/o one purple bug the entire time.

Coincidence I suppose.

WW1st in this game or any game is a fucking joke. Just because you do something first doesn't mean your the best. If you really wanted to find out who the best guild is, put all your asses on a PvP server and go to war. That is the only way you will really be able to claim who is the best. Sitting on your isolated isle of a server and claim to be the first to figure out an encounter and then beat it doesn't make you the best.

Or b/c the matron that was defeated hadnt been nerfed in quite some time and then still wasnt trivial.

But if you remember correctly Disso wasnt the first to defeat the matron legitamately it was SD, so whatver.

Not to mention even if you wanted to fucking blunder along what you were trying to say from just that list Disso was top 5 in everything, first in 4 and second in 2....It really wasnt some bitchfest...

And accusing me of saying only everything matron and before mattered b/c Its b/c that was when Disso was good is retarded b/c I wasnt even in guild in t5-most of t7.

Not speccing for an AA that obviously completely changes the encounter isn't an oversight; it's a sign of utter incompetence (not from you specifically, but your defiler). Mastering your class includes knowing what each of your AA's do and their benefits; here I was thinking that each person in SD was skilled, but alas...

I'm just glad that I got the single most useless AA ability nerfed in the span of a few weeks.

Dude, stop talking. Playing PVP doesn't take skill. It takes patience.

You can't simply equate PVP skill to PVE skill; sure, killing players instead of AI is hard in its own way, but say that to the PVPers on Nagafen who STILL haven't fucking killed Wuoshi.
