If you knew shit about the ranger class, you would know rangers have to get right up next to the mob just like every other scout.

Re: Assassin Vs Wizard
Oh and Arabel on the whole buffs and dependancy thing. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say wizards can stay in range of those buffs with little thought or effort. Try jumping in my rangers shoes in VP and getting your whole group to not only pay attention to where the mob is but where you are also so you can actually keep those buffs.

In response to your ground-breaking education, I have to ask you why rangers talk about nothing but bow upgrades.

Unfuckingbelieveable. Like I said, you clearly have no clue about the ranger class. I can't believe I'm seriously in the position of having to spell this shit out. Any ranger worth a shit is standing 3-5 meters away from the mob so that he can use both melee and bow CA's and auto bow. How about next time you get a clue about how classes actually operate before posting dumbass remarks?

Different classes clearly need to have different dps potentials depending on what utility they bring to the raid, or else certain classes will be useless due to having equal dps, but deficient utility. Tradeoffs - it's a pretty simple concept.

really it's not. when group, skill and gear are equal then mob , casting order, improvisation and just plain luck are what puts the better player on top.. to just have one class that does more dps is boring.
and btw since my main is a necro i have to throw this in.. necros(summoners) got sorta screwd this time around giving that our limited pets amount for a good chunk of our dmg and they are completely un affected by crits/+spell damg and die from short range aoe/riptose and cure procing mobs (can be cured like dots). the only thing summoners bring to a raid is power items and those items arent esential by any stretch of the imagination. summoner dps is slow very slow where we shine is in long epic encounters unlike the other high DPS classes that deal out awsome dmg all the time.

Re: Assassin Vs Wizard
cloth / chain : the poor mitig we have more with chain doesnt mean shit in raid. On other hand, cloth wearers have a lot more avoidance. who havent heard about mages/tanks ? yes it's not in raid but avoidance can help more than a bit of mitig.we all know that raid tanks must have more avoidance than mitig once the curve reached.
so leave that point, it's not a significative point in the balance.
De-aggro : Dont mages have de-aggro spells and procs ? RoK brough a lot of de-aggro procs . Every mage item procs a 1k ish de-aggro.
They are also usually moderated or amended. 19 % xfer means shit when you hit really high dps burst.
Both classes have means to deaggro. But we predators arent starting the fight with execute or deathblade , when somes mages are starting up with fission or another high dmg spell and wondering why they smell the floor the second after.

You mean STA specced mages? Your crazy if you would have a wizard tank for you over a rogue. Don't forget, a Wizard isn't getting anywhere near the mitigation curve.

Casters don't even come close to a scout's ability to drop aggro. The deaggro poison alone will drop more hate than any thing the casters can muster. 19% xfer means alot more than you give it credit, don't forgot you have auto attack to smooth your dps out, while Wizards are pure spike damage.

You've already pushed me to unwind fundamentals established since the early 70's.

Very good Mr. Azleya. And if jousting is necessary he is still in action, even able to range damage while in motion.

What mobs can be killed by root/nuke that can't be killed by kiting?
