    "For the greater good" definitely does not justify ruining the play experience for paying, innocent customers, nor does it excuse anything. When I petitioned to get my plat back, I recieved a reply that basically said, "You don't have power, and we can do anything we want. Deal with it." They talked down to me in a very disrespectful manner (whatever happened to "the customer is always right"?) and refused to give me my plat back.

    I think I got lucky, because I had several items they didn't take that were worth a lot of money, so I bounced back quickly, got a replacement set of armor and just started to farm. I'm nowhere near as rich as I was before, but at least I got through it... I've got almost everything I had before, but SOE will never be the same to me.

    There are certain things a Guide like myself has to follow, and of course professionalism is one of them... but I don't know if we guides and the actual customer service reps have the same definition of professionalism.

    Yes you did get lucky. You could have very well lost your entire account that you had been playing on for 4 years because of supposed "plat sales/buying" Then have them tell you theres nothing they can ever do to un-ban your account. (the entire station exchange account no-less, so i lost my 50 Rakkur shaman on VG as well) Perma banning loyal players because of suspicions. Thnx soe

    I canceled because I figure, with the way they run their returning customer promotions, when the next expansion pack is released they'll be paying me to play.

    I cancelled because I was sick of sitting around in East Freeport wondering WTF I was going to do...

    ...but it worked out because I got an email saying I could play for free. Free is my favorite price to pay for anything and also my favorite brand of beer.
