I'm honestly surprised as hell at how many people use the mouse over the keyboard. I only use the mouse for some of my single target buffs, my clickies and the spells that I use maybe once a month.

I have 6 hotbars, 5 of which I use heavily, and I end up clicking nearly everything, barring my quick access stuff like my MA target macro and my dots.

1-6 being heals I use keyboard, otherwise it's always mouse. I hate using alt and ctrl.

I only use the keyboard when i am drinking a beer or something.

I use 7 hotbars, 4 regularly, on my coercer...i have no idea how coercers can use anything but the mouse lol.

Shag, I can understand how you button mash. When you box an entire raid force there's way too many mice to worry about.

EDIT: but i DO use the keyboard to cue crafting abilities...makes it easier to surf the net.

I use a mixture of both, but mostly keyboard. I usually only use my mouse to look around and sometimes to harvest, but even then I usually mouse over and hit the "F" key.

Who the fuck wants to reach up to all the numbers to use spells? I only use 1 and 2 for my main heals, thats it. Mouse clicking ftw!

when i play my healer, i use my mouse to click off my heals, debuffs & nukes. buffs r in another hotbar off to the side that i have invisible till i put the mouse over it. then to target, i use my keyboard. i have macros set up to target mt, ma, & heal macros for the ppl who have a habit of dyin...a LOT (warlock for one). so im sorta a combine of both, but still use my mouse quite a bit. i barely use my keyboard for my other toons (assassin, monk, other scouts)

I use the keyboard for stuff on the right side and the mouse for stuff on the left.

I played way too many FPS game for too long to ever let my fingers off W,A,S,D.
I click everything with the mouse, when i played my warlock it was never a problem 3 - 5 sec casting timers lets u have plenty of time to move the cursor + some smart hotbars layouts so moving the cursosr between spells are minimal in the normal cycle.

Same on my troub, so damn few spells to really use that it never becomes a problem that i have to move the cursor, and again hotbar planning is essential.

Reaction time is dulled by strict mouse usage. Optimal wizard dps depends on the keyboard with spell queuing. And soloing...well... I don't know how I'd stay alive on my coercer if everything were mouse-clicks.

Is mouse usage to blame for so many people not using HO's?
Strange, most FPS users go with WADS + mouse and that is much more reactionary based than EQ2. I mean is your mouse use / hotkey setup so bad that you can't queue 6 second wizard spells? C'mon now!

I'm a mouse clicker myself, due to FPS - I can't imagine with all the spells EQ2 has hitting ctrl and alt all the time to do things, mouse is far more efficient IMO.
