The Official "Screw FF and anything that takes attention away from fixing EQ2" thread

If being a little bitch is complaining about a product released half finished that collected full payment (and monthly payments) up front... then so be it.

I'll tell you what, I'll go to FF just to be the guy up front. Anyone who can post on this thread and say RoK is great or SOE is on top of it is either blind or stupid. Feel free to check every single class forum, the equipment thread or half the 20 threads below this. Very valid points, with data are made over dozens of game mechanic and balancing issues and many of those threads started immediately after release.

SOE is ignoring the boards and the player base. My frustration comes from seeing good players leave and dedicated players frustrated by the lack of challenge and change.

IF the FF were truely meant to be a place to fix issues, it would be held more often and be more accessable to the masses... but it isn't. It's a pony show that gives the perception of listening when in reality the schedule for updates/fixes in not impacted AT ALL. They will pull the same old shit of releasing Epics, content and maybe fixing a few issues right before the show so fanboi's can pat them on the head. The forums were made with the intent of gathering feedback for change. Suggesting going to a FF will accomplish a task meant for the forums is either a slap in the face or just plain wrong.

Expect more from a company that nets millions annually.

I love the game, but I have high expectations for a group that has more experience than anyone in this market.

Seriously, do people have any concept of limited resources? There are only so many developers, and they can only do so many things. I'm going to bet they're all working their asses off to get the Epics done ASAP, so they can focus their attention on the other bugs at hand. Yeah there's lots of bugs, but you know what, there always will be bugs, and unintended results, etc. If you can't handle it go play another game, stop paying, whining about it like this doesn't help anyone or anything.
I really think people have no concept of just how expensive to run an operation like an MMO, and think that every bug should be fixed immediately. If you feel a bug is that bad, try to talk to developers and GMs directly, and in a rational, intelligent manor, you might be pleasantly surprised, most of the ones I've spoken with have been very receptive, and very willing to help. In a lot of cases they know about the bug that I mention, they're working on a fix, and they don't want to put something out that would make things worse. If you don't like that, get the fuck out, seriously, your dollars will speak a WHOLE lot more than whining incessantly about how bad it is on a forum yet continuing to play

Agreed. FF was a blast, and we spent the majority of it getting fucked up and having a good time with friends from other servers.. This past year was the first Ive attended and I would definitly go back. If anything, it helps keep this game interesting (if you could believe that).

Bitching about a 3 day vacation (thats atleast 5 months away) isnt going to fix your ingame problems.

Chick looks a little more than uncomfortable, but gets a nod from her NPU boyfriend: "First, I loved the lore for Miyocks and the Cockmonster, my sex life has never been better. Who made the story for these?"

Vhalen shifts a little in his seat, looks side to side at the other devs who are shaking their heads and you can hear a whispered "All yours..."

Chick continues: "Oh, well, from a purely story, you know, Legend and Lores, that kind of point of view of course, could we get some maybe, you know, back-history, about why the Paw Duster could solo Veeshan's Peak naked and not even get any shoes that he'd want to wear?"

Vhalen /facepalm.

I don't see how anyone could justify having fan faire. There is such a small population of the total playerbase that even goes.

I mean why even have it when only 1% of 1% of the playerbase are even going to be able to experience it?
