Default Top Secret for Alchemists Only: How to get rich this week

To: All EQ2 Alchemists except Sqee on Nektulos, keep this a secret from him please!

From: LFG at Worldwide Alchemist Pricefixing Headquarters

SUBJ: GET RICH NOW, READ BELOW FOR HOW!

I discovered when messing around with the new alchemist transmuting recipes tonight that Beghn hooked us up. Here's what I mean:

Yes, these are 100 HP or Power adornments that can be made by any alchemist level 35 or above. They work on rings only, but you can two of the same, or one of each, on your rings.

If you don't quite get the significance of this yet, after you make a few, advertise them in your main server channel for "make offer". I was made offers between 2p and 10p
EACH. Of course, I couldn't take money like that from people, but one nice person INSISTED on giving me 5 p for two, he said I was undercharging and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Two make these, you only need 135 skill in transmuting, to transmute level 30 (tier 4) treasured items into the intermediate items you need to make these. It will take a motivated person 1 day to get 135 skill in transmuting.

Then, you just need to purchase a copy of Enigma of the Alchemist volume 4 on your broker. Don't be greedy and buy up all the copies of that on the server so nobody else can do it also, that isn't nice

Your cost in each unit should be no more than 25 g, based on this recipe:

Each one of the seven (7) items above represents an adept 1 between level 30 and 39 I purchased off the broker for an average of 2 to 3 g each.

When you pristine the combine, you get back 3 of the opal fragments, in addition to the adornment you just created.

The best part is, there are no upgrades to this item in either Tier 5 or 7.

The upgrade in Tier 6 goes to only 150 HP. Selling only the above Tier 4 units should allow you to make more in the next week than you've made since the Black Patch of '05, when alchemists were stripped of their monopoly on chemicals, and interdependence was abruptly ended.

The issue is that you have to transmute several more items to make the T6 version of these adornments, and those items will cost much more on the broker, on average, than T4 treasured items. So with only a 50 HP or Power difference, just put these on the market at the Uniform Serverwide Suggested Retail of only 2 p. Advertise frequently in your server channels, and watch these fly as you get rich!

Use the Batphone secret code to phone me with questions about this important new directive, and especially if Sqee finds out and cranks up production!

Happy profiteering!

The Woodworker Bow and Shield Adornments are nice, and I've only done up to T2. There's a strut for Bows that I can't keep in stock, even at T1!

No. He meant because it is one per ring you can have two per toon.

So to me I was like hmm if that's true it's probly a bug. However yeah I'm looking for 2 of those but both HP only

Lambent Epiphanic Polish is what I plan to use on my RoS's, those are the T6 treasured ones with 150 power. 50 power > 100 health, especially with all these fucking power drains and long burns lately.

The motivation isn't what's lacking... it's getting hold of the stupid fucking pieces of shit Phantom Powders that made it a pain in the ass to even get to 120. I'm stuck; rather than play transmute lotto with expensive (time and/or money) goods, it's easier and cheaper for me to just buy the adornments straight up.

And to all the people I see price-fixing on the broker... I'm ruthless with money, when I reach 350 I'll make you fucking scream to the last copper.

I've been at 330 transmuting since last week, so yeah, have been making the 150s instead of the 100s since then.

Transmuting was a good investment for me.

I sensed that this was going to be the typical crafting land rush situation, with the first to level in the expansion getting all the profit from the market, and with those who leveled later dealing with profit erosion and a highly competitive market. So I spent about 225 plat to level the fast way, basically buying everything I needed to level on the broker regardless of price.

But I set a new personal lifetime record for sales - I've made 592 plat in transmuting sales since last week (I don't do tradeskill work for people except friends, and only sell on the broker). I've been able to do this because fortunately, I have 5 level 70 crafters, 3 of which can make the best new items (alchemist, carpenter, and tailor).

This has all been at these prices for T7:

3p for treasured
8p for legendary
20 p for fabled

I think these prices are fair and not gouging, since the cost of T7 treasured items needed for transmuting are now > 25 g each on my broker. A few new transmuters have come into the market, and the price on a few treasured pieces has dropped to 2 p 75 g. But I don't think the price will get much lower than this soon, since it really isn't profitable to make these items for less with a 25 g per piece treasured cost. Plus this is truly a situation where you need to spend >100 p to level so you can make the T7 items, and very few players can afford that.
