If the target date is <x> and a few days before <x> you figure out you won't make it until date <y> you could tell the player base that you won't make date <x>. Or you won't make date <x> but you'll try for date <y>. That would be rather informative.

What SOE did was delete the mention of date <x>. Which is rather shaddy.

The problem is...

THEY AREN'T FUCKING TELLING US ANYTHING. All they have to do is say <we expect ____ to be the release date, but this may change for further testing>, and simply post a fucking update if it IS delayed.

That's honestly not the only problem. I'm starting to lose faith in the fucking dev team in general. Let's take Vanguard for example. If you haven't played Vanguard in the last 3 months, shut the fuck up flaming it because you don't know what you're talking about.

Vanguard had a shitty start. It sucked ass, for a long time. They did an overhaul. They fixed shit. They made the game *good*, imo. Still playing EQ2 myself though, primarily for raiding and friends.

Point being, the Vanguard team isn't completely fucking retarded. After they did an overhaul on bugs/mechanics/ just general gameplay shit that really needed addressing, they began changing up the classes, tuning them up/down as necessary, and they got it done in a timely manner.

Here's an example. How long have we been hearing about the skeletal/model/whateverthefuckitiscauseican'tevenrememberanymore revamp? Not just from players, but from people who actually have some authority and official say with Sony.

I can't give you an exact date, but it's been about a fucking year and a half.

Vanguard set out to revamp some of the character models. They gave specific dates and everything, too, along the way. Stayed in good communication. That aside, how long will it have been?

FIVE MONTHS.
