Do you truly understand how many play EQ2 but have no fucking clue what they play it on let alone OS level information such as netstat, tracert and ping?

Come on, your biased because you are correct and you know however most do not. It's a shame these days the level of inadequacy involving PC, their hardware and how they work.

I was gonna post how epics were promised for RoK in November, so those that know exactly how much time it should take to code and test 24 epics should have planned ahead better...

Then I found my RoK Retail Box and scoured every panel for mention of them. The box promises the new Sarnak race, new creatures, quests, zones, level 80, and balanced gameplay for everyone including guild raiding, pvp, pve and role-playing. Not one mention of epics.

I'd have to conclude that while a week or 2 of delays from the fires may have contributed in part to these months of delays, they knew when they were printing the packaging that epics would not be complete on time.

I beleive epics were announced in february of 2007. And if you think it would be dumb to wait for 24 epics to be completed to start testing them, I think you may be quite surprised or maybe not so much at when most testing of the epics took place.

I was not trying to prove it does not delay an update. I was proving you wrong that it will delay an update.
Agreed.

I was told before the fires they were abit behind already. Then the fires happened. Then the holidays hit. Although I am not trying to give them more excuses, The job should of been done regardless.

Do you try not to make sense on purpose?

I already said LU39-LU40 doesn't really count since LU40 is RoK. An entire expansion is not the same as a regular LU. So let's remove LU39-LU40 from the bar graph completely and pretend it doesn't exist. Then form your argument around that and let's see what you come up with. Not so easy anymore is it? Did I prove my point yet? A chain reaction DOES exist. The 3-4 week delay in LU42 WILL delay every other LU from this point forth by at LEAST 2-4 weeks.

But something tells me that eq2 developers should know it, and if they are not writing code in assembler that should not take a more then 1 hour (including XML for in-game window)

PS I know: LU42 is a lie, there will be no update, no epics, no avatars. They`ll feed us b/s promises for another 6 months and then announce new expansion with new epics, avatars and revamped t8 fabled gear.

If it's a poor task/time organization problem of the Testing/QA department then the issue is even worse than slackness (delay) in making the quests / weapons or simply the fact that "Epic weapons and questlines are ready at the 75% but we don't want to release them too hasty to leave that 25% with unfinished (the word he used was something that meant more or less: "sub-par or not totally tested") rewards" was utter bullshit
