Epics were announced with the announcement/PR of RoK in May, 2007. You mean most of the testing of the epics took place in December/January? Ya, I bet so.

I already said LU39-LU40 doesn't really count since LU40 is RoK. An entire expansion is not the same as a regular LU. So let's remove LU39-LU40 from the bar graph completely and pretend it doesn't exist. Then form your argument around that and let's see what you come up with. Not so easy anymore is it? Did I prove my point yet? A chain reaction DOES exist. The 3-4 week delay in LU42 WILL delay every other LU from this point forth by at LEAST 2-4 weeks.
Hey, Emo McSlashwrists, the shit is delayed. We get it. You're fucking pissed. Deal with it. Call Dr. Phil, Dr. Drew, Dr. Ruth or Dr. Doolittle. Just shut the fuck up already.

I threw away data that doesn't count, since expansions are not the same as liveupdates. Look at the trend, and you'll see the LU's are consistently 4-5 weeks apart. Therefore, one gets delayed by 3 or 4 weeks, that's going to delay all of them by 3 or 4 weeks. If you think that statement is wrong, I want to hear your explanation.

If they had a timetable of LU release dates set in stone, you would be correct. They do not schedule the next LU until after the previous LU has been released. The disclaimer has been 2 weeks after the Feature on eq2players, it will hit test, and 2 weeks after it hits test it hits live, pending issues that arise. They set no timetable on how long after the previous LU the next LU will hit the Feature page. Therefore, we can find trends and patterns in previous releases, but they made no promises on the regularity of LU's. Post RoK has been another matter all together though, as half of the expansion is about 3 months late and counting.

I'm not stating that SOE has set a timetable based upon every LU.

What I am saying, however, is the data clearly shows that on average, LU's are released about 4.5 weeks apart. With that data in hand, you can state with confidence that a delay in LU42 will cause a subsequent delay in every LU after that. If this wasn't the case, you would be seeing some LU's one or two weeks apart from eachother, which you NEVER see.

In that case, yes you are technically correct, the next LU # is delayed by a number of weeks. Then the arguement is that they could have put out most of this LU (that which is ready like mannequins and level 2 spells) "on time" (which is only based on past averages), and the rest would be dumped into the next LU in another 5ish weeks.

They are obviously taking on more than their staff can handle in the timeframe given, so while the LU # will be delayed, the amount of fixes/updates/changes over time is still relatively the same.
