I've seen links for several epics flying around in level chat today. I think it's more likely that someone figured out the item link code for the epic... it's in the game, hence it has a link code.

Naw I finished it last night at 4am, and was far from the first to do it and didn't get the server disco. Coercer epic was undeniably easier then alot of what I have seen all my other guildies going thru. Some starters have yet to be found, and some seem to be bugged and only seem to drop from legendary chests.

That would require knowing the exact alphanumeric code for the item, which is stored server side or appears in your logs when linked to you/in chat.

If there is not an original copy, test copy, or in game dev link of the item, atleast once, that has been linked around to people there is statistically no possible way to make up a completely fake link to an undiscovered on any server or on test server item for the real item.

What I thought happened was something that has happened to me before... a friendly GM links an item.

I didn't think that they actually looked up each and every combination of link numbers.

There's no doubt they're completed, because the full text of the quests are up on EQ2I for Coercer, Fury and Necromancer. The Coercer one is so easy that we've nearly completed it on Venekor, a PvP server.

And Yunem, of course they're worth it. The procs are really nice class specific ones - think how much it'll help you in PvP.
(especially if it has an evac proc)
