That is, if SOE decided to flag those items as quest items. Those legendary drops that people used to get farming Skywatcher/PP etc were loot, and nothing more.

Under those rules above, they would not drop. However, has anyone actually tried fighting them grey? At least in PP at 80 you could just deal with the doors and then fight the named at the end. Shit I remember when that rope that the keeper dropped was the cheapest robe you could get, and there were literally 3-4 pages of them on the broker....

so grey content is fine, as long as its an HQ? what kind of criteria is that? why cant grey-dropped items be part of the storyline too?

there are plenty of classes this applies to. these items are supposed to require a team effort, whether thats finding a few L80 friends to kill orange ^^^'s, or a L70 friend to help with some old content. quit bitching and just do the quest.

if you thought of this EPIC questline as a STORY that you were moving through, and not something just to grind out in 8 hours and receive some phatty loots, you'd realize why some old content is required.

There is no challenge or difficulty what so ever in going back to do grey quests, they are time sinks, so fuck you with your idea of "difficult" content ..perhaps SoE should hire you, you seem just as fucking clueless as the guys who make this shit.

The best part is not only do we have to deal with the 20 other Brigands camping the robes but will have to deal with fucking newbs farming them knowing they will sell for 100+ plat.

Agreed going back and doing some HQs is fine for the lore and what not, but having to farm up a 4 hour RARE named and get a certain one of his 3 drops is just plain retarded.

Now every plat farmer and his 17 cousins are going to be camping the skywatcher just so they and SOE can fuck over the brigs.

Im no brig, but I think I can speak on behalf of them, if their epic isnt worth this bullshit, heads will roll. No class desearves this kind of punishment.

its the same for Dirge they cant even start their quest , and from what I read farming Sebilis for 12h just to get the quest starter is retarted aswell and in the end no epic except the Assassin one was worth the hassle
seriously not sure if I extend my sub this month thats kinda the nail to the coffin

Ok. This isn't going to be a very popular opinion, but oh well.

I think it sounds like some of this may be a very good idea on SOE's part. Sure, it does suck big hairy balls to be level 80 now and have to mentor to get items for this quest series, but, this quest wasn't designed only for people who are level 80 in the game right now. It was designed to be done by people levelling up and people who have yet to coem to the game. Sounds to me like they wanted to put in an incentive for people to form up groups and go hunt places in the lower tiers, do the lower level HQs, etc...
