I think it sounds like some of this may be a very good idea on SOE's part. Sure, it does suck big hairy balls to be level 80 now and have to mentor to get items for this quest series, but, this quest wasn't designed only for people who are level 80 in the game right now. It was designed to be done by people levelling up and people who have yet to coem to the game. Sounds to me like they wanted to put in an incentive for people to form up groups and go hunt places in the lower tiers, do the lower level HQs, etc...
Hang yourself if u dont see the problem wit hteh plat farmers now who just a new income served , we prolly have 500 ppl camping the robes and 5% of them are actually the brigands

your a retard

I want to see a toon that is not level 80 attempt to kill the level 85^^^ that is the 1st step once getting the quest starter. The quest is flat out designed for level 80's. Your opinion is not only unpopular it is outright retarded.

It sucks that they designed the quest that way, but you have 2 options... STFU and do it, or STFU and don't...

Lol. You all are funny. Remember EBBC....same concept. Back when the EBBC was actually good, how many up and coming tanks were in SH hoping to get the drop and do the quest so it could later be combined with an HQ reward that you couldn't even start until level 40? How many people were in there period hoping for a Berik drop just so they could sell it? That drop singlehandedly drove people to SH. I think SOE is trying to do the same sort of thing here: go to a place while you are leveling so you can get a drop you will need later in the game.

I do have sympathy for those who are 80 now. Yeah it is royal monkey ball sucking pain in the ass to have to mentor. However, if these quest requirements get people to group up and actually do lower level content it could help the game.

So, you have to have the forsight to know exactly what items you have to keep on the way up? IF you have to be 80 to start the quest how do you know which items to keep? Also, if you are not on the quest and loot an item it probably will not update your quest once you get to that part. You will probably have to reloot them.

Gori's position is sensible in itself, but the way the quest is designed doesn't support his position.

A better way to get lower level people involved would be some precursor quests - one at level 20 and one at level 50, for example, which would provide access to the lore and provide hints for the final quest.

Requiring people to go back and finish up older quests is fine, and while some of the old heritage quests may not be all that fun, none require outrageous amounts of camping these days.
