You always need to get someone to help you. This one is just saying you need to get someone lower level to help you. I think it's pretty creative.

Glad they allowing alternatives now though, but still was a cool spin on the traditional view of what a quest entails.

In eq1, the rogue quests (1.0, 1.5) both had a way around the annoying parts. The first one required getting lucky with drops, the second one was a pure coin bribe to skip a step. Hopefully they put in something like that for this one. I agree with the idea that people will camp these robes as they level up - it happened a lot in EQ1 with the rogue epic, very nice work with the lore by the designer.

And the difference between grouping with a level 70 to get kill updates as opposed to grouping with a level 80 group to run instances for updates is....... what?

The steps difficulty scale on some quests are driving me nuts more than anything. I see my fiance on her fuckin fury flying through quest after quest. While i sit here trying build my fuckin Reet faction up to 40k and then will probably have to beg or pay for a fuckin group to drag my ass down deep in seb and get an update.

(then of course theres my inquisitor who I didn't get the drop from chelsith i need so i can't even start the fuckin quest

while shes nearly able to solo or duo most of her fuckin quest so far.

You should see the Berserker one. It's not so much that the steps are hard. It's that you have absolutely no clues to go on with most of them and those that do are illogical and lead nowhere. Sure on my Brigand one I have to kill a level 85 ^^^ heroic right from the get go, but at least "He hunts in the jungle" leads me to the fucking jungle hunter camp.

How am I supposed to work out where "Anywhere in Norrath" (turns out it's on the pedestal that Barakah lives on) is?

so shes on this fuckin quest ... gather shit 35 drachnid legs, some mantrap roots golem shit(ok doesnt say that but its something with golems) and smoldering material.

and shes like omg this quest sucks this is gonna be so time consuming.

i nearly flew off the fuckin handle, i said time consuming thats FUCKIN SOLO SHIT who gives a fuck how long it takes you can do all that shit FUCKING SOLO.

me i have to build my reet faction which i started at 15k, beg 5 people who probably want to do thier OWN fuckin epics to help me kill shit in Sebelis for 5k an update (need 40K). Then HOPE to god this group of 5 people who still probably want to get back to thier own quest. Will take me fuckin ass down to the end of fuckin sebelis for an update. THEN ... AND THEN hopefully to persuade these guys to help me collect gems or some shit from mobs around that area of sebelis.

and this is like the first part of the quest if you don't count finding the fuckin quest starter and then heading back to qeynos to talk to some cunt in NQ. while shes on like step fuckin 4 or 5.
