People are finishing the Epic quests already? - Page 2

I definitely don't, but just because some heroic parts are done doesn't mean that the raid portion will be as easy.

1. the quest isn't being done by individuals, it's being done by the entire community. every time someone finds an update they let everyone else now, greatly reducing the amount of time taken to complete the quest. i can guarantee you if everyone kept all the info to themselves nobody would have even the group version done by now.

2. it's only the group version, there is still the raid portion. don't say it will only be 1 or 2 epics you need to kill before you're done, you don't know that. if that turns out to be the case, then by all means bitch all you want but until it is confirmed STFU.

3. not every class has finished theirs yet. in fact, the majority haven't.

To paraphrase Linus's law: "Given enough eyeballs, all quest problems are shallow." I see at least 100 people in the WW ranger channel (is that the max amount it can report ?) at any given time of day - and we haven't even disco'ed it yet.

Plus some people plan their schedule around this. It was to be expected.

last night, we got the first 2 kills for the epic portion for our fury. We now have to Kill druusskk in VP, which with the changes to VP with LU 42, that may be a pain in the ass

Damn, so you're saying you need to kill 3! epic mobs to go from "heroic" to "raid"?

I can't see how the epic part can be anything more than killing raid mobs, and any guild in VP or clearing it shouldn't have a problem unless they introduce a timesink like going to T1, T2, back to T1, back to T2, in which case it will take a few weeks for lockout timers.

VP is alot harder now, and so is Leviathan, so if you aren't already flagged for VP..

If that's the only requirement for Epic raid version, that's kinda lame, but I like the way these are designed. I myself enjoy the fact that there are bottlenecks, gray content, and HQs required for some but not all. The devs have constantly stated that they were gonna offer a little throw back to EQ1 on these, and you get some quests are easy, some are harder, some are just time sinks. Deal with it.

I can gurantee you at least a few of the epics would still be completed.

after the fury heroic version, we needed to kill Thugga and VS in that order and we now have to kill Druussk. We didn't zone into VP last night after palying around with the new CoD, but hearing from the WW channels, VP names have the same AoE as the Leviathan, go go SOE on a cockblock for guilds that have been farming these mobs for monthes now
