Velious was a great expansion, but your memory on it being 'complete' is way off. There were huge, major issues with Velious especially from the beginning.

Dragon and Giant were supposed to be balanced, equal raid opportunities for whoever sided with them. Of course, we all know Dragon faction guilds had a total of 1 tiny, worthless area of ToV and Sleeper's Tomb required killing dragons.

NToV, the endgame of the expansion, and 90% of the rest of it dropped total worthless shit that was only masked by the fact that it took guilds forever to discover it. Once they finally did, the whine threads were as epic as this game, until they did a total revamp.

Then you had the whole problem with charming and those nerfs.. etc, etc. Velious may have been a great expansion but saying it was without issues is very much false. It was released unfinished and untested just like every other MMO expansion.

Hah. I think every MMO out has its problems man. I play DDO, and have played Wow and EQ2, alot of the same problems exist across games. The major differences I see are as follows:
1. DDO allocates an entire server for beta and everyone is invited. So anyone can get their character copied to the beta server when an expansion is due out. So anyone can voice their opinions on whats wrong with new content. AND they opened the beta server 2 months in advance. So they had time to fix things. Now I'm not saying it was perfect. They had major hardware problems so with the release we had several server crashes and a day of downtime. But at least the quests worked, the new zones were interesting, items upgraded correctly.
2. The level cap was 10 a month ago. With the expansion, it was raised to 12. No grinding ftw.
3. Expansion - FREE TO ALL SUBSCRIBERS. Adventure packs(modules) - FREE TO ALL SUBSCRIBERS. Oh our servers were down for a day - free feat respec for everyone.

Completely agree here. I read only the first 3 pages and christ ... Seems to me if you are all that unhappy with SOE or EQ2 you should just quit and go somewhere else. Seems a bit masochistic to continue to play a game you hate so much. Just my 2 cents.

Here's the thing though Kesugeo...

They don't want to stop playing, they think that if they threaten SoE that they will quit (mostly high end people) than SoE will fix the game to their liking. Unfortunately for them....EQ2 is a game for casual players not raiders(by Fumtik). This game will continue to live from people that play 3 days a week for 3 hours.

How long have you been playing?

I doubt since original release, and I doubt for very long in a hardcore fashion.

Those with a greater investment in this game than you are likely to be more bitter when they get screwed. It's kind of like a marriage, most people want to hold on and keep arguing until the last glimmer of hope is gone. But you can expect that arguing to begin once the relationship takes a turn down the wrong road.

Based on the thousands of hours I have invested in this game, I can appreciate why you'd be more casual about these things than I would. What you fail to appreciate is that there are other legitimate perspectives involved here beyond your own.

The best solution is not for us to stop arguing and agree to be fucked. That would certainly be more convenient for SoE, but we'd rather argue for them to act reasonably, devote reasonable resources to end game players, and simply keep their promises.
