I actually agree with you. Though you put it in a way that is not quite my style. ;)
As Grim said, I made my thoughts known, then quietly backed them up. I have no need to show disrespect towards anyone on the official forums. I know that Gnobrin and Grimwell are doing their jobs as they are asked to do or how they see they need to. I know that the forums belong to SOE and they may have them moderated in any way they choose. I also know that no amount of whining, fit throwing, fuss kicking, or indignant bans is going to change that.
I imagine that someone there keeps track of numbers and visits to the forums, and I'm sure if they make a marked downward trend, someone will notice. If they care, they might mix things up a bit. The unfortunate truth of it though is most EverQuest II players will never post on any forums, so it's not as if it is some sort of needed aspect of the game that they need to maintain else the game will fail. The handful of players that post regularly make up a very small portion of the overall community and are hardly worth the man hours to keep them all in line and field the barrage of complaints when people get their knickers in a wad.

What is even easier would be for you to shut the fuck up, but you can't, can you?
Why don't you take your meds instead of reading our posts here and forgetting how to turn off your capslock key again?
No one here gives two shits about what anyone else here thinks (except you of course.)

Lol...anyone been to the Vanguard official forums in the last couple days?
Here is an example of what is flying around over there currently.

Sigh, I guess you're the type of gamer that spams his way through the character selection screen, bypasses the customization options and picks a name like Clitcommander or Teninchblackc0ck then logs in to make macros asking peeps what he should do with the quests he just got.
You are obviously an attention seeking american teenager who likes to type in orange to make his point a tad clearer:_

I think a lot of potential players go look at the boards. So they try to keep it at shinny happy people status to entice then to give the game a try.

Re: Gnobrin bans people in the official forums for unwritten forum rules
Quick question, how do you get notified that you are banned on the EQ2 forums? Are you not allowed to log on and some screen pops up and say "Go home Asshat?"
I kind of went off the deep end this weekend. Was just a little bit pissed about the way my class has been shit on recently. I'm not sure but think I posted a little bitty complaint on almost every forum except PVP and Tradeskills. Ok..maybe not so little bitty. I know that the one's like "Hello, anyone home at SoE" and "Is there even a Coercer Dev" or better yet "Evil comes in 3s" probably won't go over very well tomorrow (Tuesday) when everyone comes back to work at Sony. Assuming they actually do some work.
So figured I might have broken maybe a rule or two and was just wondering how it is handled. I know there has to be at least one or fifty of you who know from personal experience.

Basically when you visit a forum, it will tell you in big bold red letters at the top that you're banned. In most cases, you won't get an explanation of why you were banned, just a simple generic category, such as excessive negativity.

Re: Gnobrin bans people in the official forums for unwritten forum rules
Depending on the offense, you'll get either a PM warning (which most people get even if they don't want to admit it) or when you log in you immediately get bold red text telling you that you're banned and for how long. Unless you do something really bad, most bans are temporary.
