Anyone Else Lagging all to shit?

I'm on satellite so I know where some of my lag comes from but I didn't start getting bad lag until I downloaded Beta then really bad lag after EoF went live. Anytime I start fighting is when I start lagging and in raids its anytime anyone starts fighting is when I start lagging, and it increases as long as the fight goes. Three minute lag the other night and when the mob died...my lag went away until we started fighting.

Anyone else getting this shit or I'm I just the poor unlucky fucker thats going to have to retire because of it?

I have unexplained lag, yes. Plus the eternally sporadic problem of getting booted to character select when zoning.

I've been getting horrid lag ever since the expansion too. Pretty much exactly how you explained it.

I have strange lag issues. When I'm harvesting, every other node or so it will "hiccup", that is, pause for a few seconds and then go to where it is in game. So if I'm walking, I'll end up a few paces after the lag spike.

I have a shitty machine, so I always think nothing of it.

I find myself having to switch to raid settigs thru some of the normal zones I could at one time use quality settings in. So much for their supposed client efficiency plan. Wasn't KoS a bit laggy when it first came out? Maybe they'll smooth out game play for us with the new expansion soon.

i've had horrid lag since EoF went live

i still continue to crash to Character select while zoning once in awhile...some days it never does it...hell even months i wont...then all of a sudden for like a week straight i will crash on every zone i do.

Try this - go into your guild window, and change the member view to "Show Members Online Now" if you have it on a different setting.

They've isolated a bug with that and sorting in the guild window (only sort by name, not by location, until they patch this), and in addition to solving my crashing problem, it also seemed to improve my lag/framerate issues.

UI plays a significant part in video lag/framerate problems. If you ever want to double your framerate, just hit F11 twice, to play without the UI. Seriously, try it, your framerate will double.

yeah that does work. if only names and HP/PWR bars showed in the no-UI mode. But I am getting spikes occasionally, "hiccups" if you will, and I have to relog to "clear" it. My machine is decent, but only 1 gig of ram, but still, I ran KoS just fine. It's odd.
